Once again I'm featuring the amazing Violin poses from Reve Obscura.

I think that because these poses resonated with me so hard, I needed to make them extra special in terms of fantasy and doing something different, so hence we have a crazy Centaur Pickle who seems to want to play the violin in the moonlight by the sea - because why the fudge not?

The pose itself is made for regular human avatars, which means from the tummy up I'm using the Violin pose. Technically the body I'm wearing isn't a horse, it's a deer (which is just as cute, obvs), and when you wear it, there's an AO that is automatically started, so of course, your arms wiggle around with your existing animations, but the newly acquired hooves will behave as though they have a life of their own. The raising up on the hind legs is part of that AO, so as you can imagine there was a little bit of timing involved in taking this picture!

Because of the nature of this outfit, I'm not doing regular grey background in-world type pictures today. That being said, have a peek at all the goodies below, so you can become your very own deer/centaur person thing!

There are times where I look through this blog and think "Pickle, bb, what is you doin'?" because there really isn't a set style that I follow, there isn't a theme that my pictures all fit into.

I'm often reminded that having a 'niche' is important when you're a blogger - but for me, part of the joy of SL is that you can look entirely different every day, and for that reason alone, I point blank refuse to be anything other than Pickle. Which means I'm going to continue rocking different looks, embracing many different themes, and experimenting with my avatar.

Today isn't a good day in the world of Pickle.

I'm not entirely sure why, I just feel like I woke up with a case of The Moodies, and they've been impossible to shift.

How do I combat The Moodies? Well, firstly I take pretty pink and girly pictures featuring three of my favourite SL brands, Moss&Mink (The skybox, which you really need to see in world, because I've only shown a teeny tiny portion!), CandyDoll with the dress and boots (can you say adorbs?) and Essences for the lush skin that adorns my bootilicious body.

Secondly, I make changes.

Today this meant cleaning out my SL friends list. I like to keep my list around 100 people - that includes my alts (of which there are plenty, *cough*), my friends alts, and the occasional new person who pops their head in and has potential to become a friend too. 

Just because I remove people from said list, doesn't mean I won't be friendly. I'm picky, and weird, and not for everybody. 

Once again, I'll clear up that I LOVE taking pictures and having this blog. I LOVE the friends I have, and the good people I meet in SL, but it is becoming noticeably obvious to me that the friends I have are scattering (and rightly so) because of RL, and meeting new people without an agenda is either becoming more difficult because of the quality of people in SL, or because my mind has been so skewed by prior interactions, I just automatically place a negative on every new person I meet, and honestly, I'm not sure which is scarier.

Despite my mood, I know that this will pass. I know I'm adjusting.

Tomorrow is another day and I'm hoping that I wake up grinning, and ready to tackle everything with positivity again.

I ALWAYS get squealy when Saga pops up with a new release, and once again the quality doesn't disappoint. The earrings, bindi and nose piercings are all going to be available at the Level event opening on the 30th July.

Along with new Saga loveliness, there's also some amazing new make-ups from Go&See, the highlighter you see that sprinkles across my cheeks, chin, nose and just under my eyebrows is the new Contour Glitter for Blush Event, open on the 28th July.

Today I'm going to return to the story of the odd Spaniard chasing me along the beach, briefly mentioned in this post >Here<. 

I was 17, and with my Orchestra. I know automatically you're picturing a bunch of music nerds who snort when they laugh and constantly have to hike their glasses up over their noses, but I promise you, we were more a mid-range collection of teens who just happened to play musical instruments. Pinky swear!

So we'd gone on a brief tour of Barcelona, and a group of us quickly found out that the legal drinking age in Spain (at the time, not sure about now), was 16. Along with purchasing some cheap-ass Sangria for the hotel rooms, we'd sneak out after lights out and pop into a bar where we'd chug Cerveza until kick out time and then sneak back, incredibly inebriated via the back entrance of the hotel so as not to get noticed by concierge.

This one particular night we'd drank and laughed until we could barely stand, and took our regular route along the beach back to the hotel. I'm convinced this Spaniard came out of the Sea, because one moment it was just three of us arm in arm singing pop songs (WE WERE TEENS), and the next, this rather large, hairy and very naked Spaniard was chasing us, making over-the top swimming arms and shouting... "You girls, come for swim with me, no?"

For a big dude, he ran fast... and in our drunken state, trying to get anywhere fast on the unfamiliar sand wasn't a pretty sight and he started to actually catch up with us, so one of my friends took off her flip-flops and threw them at him. Which didn't deter him.

Naturally that night was the one night we'd been at the hotel that they'd decided to lock their back doors, so we're being chased by a stranger, unable to get into the hotel and things are starting to look a little bit like a bad TV Horror Movie. I'm convinced we're going to end up in a bath tub with my body parts missing, and honestly, who knows what this naked Spaniard actually wants with us, and why the fudge he's chasing - but none of us wanted to find out!

Luckily, there was one large window open, so we managed to hoist ourselves in (with a little drama, I've never been particularly sporty or agile, despite a bit of a background in dance and of course, our obvious drunken state). We slammed the window shut and lay in a heap underneath the nearest table laughing like Hyenas and praising the fact that we were all safe and sound.

Somehow, we never got found out, either!

Picture the scene.. you've been on a vacation with your significant other. They've popped out because you're much better at packing than they are, and wouldn't it be a shame to mess up the entire holiday with an argument as to where to put the dirty socks in your suitcase? So, to Maccy D's they've gone to take advantage of some free wifi and the ability to dip their fries in their milkshake without you staring at them like they're a monster (You're a monster if you do this, js).

Now concierge has called and told you that your courtesy hour is over, you yank all your luggage out into the sweltering heat of your tropical holiday destination, and there's absolutely no sign of your partner and...

This is where Pickle stands today!

I'm wearing the Miss Chelsea outfit that is new at Uber today. I actually really, really love this. I feel classy and summery and pretty! I'm always a fan of high-waist items, even in RL. I think they're usually incredibly flattering, regardless of your shape, and being more pear-shaped I adore the hourglass effect. They're SO feminine! I paired them with these cute shoes from Empire, and they actually come in two versions in the pack - flat and high. I chose to wear the high simply because of the length of the pants. On my face, I have some cute eyeshadow/eyeliner from Veechi. I've included a close up below the credits, so that you can see how absolutely adorable and amazingly detailed the makeup actually is!

When *R.O* showed a work in progress of his absolutely stunning set of poses, I internally screamed like an excited child at Disney. 

Many moons ago, when I was just a wee slip of a lass, I was actually fairly decent at playing the Viola. Not many people seem to know what a Viola is, and the only way I can describe it is that it is bigger than a Violin, still held under the chin, and in regards to Orchestral situations, the Violas (being slightly more bass-like) would sit nearer to the Cellos than the Violins.

Back then, I was incredibly jealous of the Violin players. Not only did one of them get chosen as "First Violin" which essentially meant that special person would be second in command to the Conductor (that's the guy waving his stick around looking slightly crazy with his wig falling off if he gets really into it), but it also meant there were solo's and actual recognizable tunes that they were often responsible for. As a Viola player, it was rare (in Orchestral terms) I would get anything fancy to play, and I was always slightly butthurt by that.

However, other than wanting to be a Violin player because of my teenage jealousy, I had a few absolutely wonderful experiences. I was lucky enough to do a small (like, extremely small) tour of Barcelona (where I bought a Real Madrid football shirt, and got chased along a beach by a naked Spaniard), played at the Royal Festival Hall and the Barbican Centre in London and made a few friends that I'll never forget.

In other news, *R.O* stated that this pose set was inspired by Lindsey Stirling. As an artist, she is visually and aurally stunning, and my picture today was loosely based upon her amazing "First Light" video - which I have included below for you to peek at. Please do peek. Please!

I feel like maybe Man-Pickle may have reverted to Boy-Pickle for this bloggy, but I'm kind of digging the entire look.

It's been a bit of a running joke that I could make the perfect fuckboy - and I think I might have proved that assertion correct, however, if I'm gonna be a fuckboy, I'm gonna be the best damn fuckboy SL has seen. With that said, here are a few rules if you would like to be the best fuckboy you can be. (This is satire, if you can't handle it - scroll on down for the regular details!)

1. Begin every IM with "Hey bbg." "Hey slut." or another derivative to prove your Internet Dominance.

I'm visualizing here. It's a technique I've picked up from my hours of netflixing, youtubing and generally attempting to think positively about life.

The idea of visualizing is seeing yourself in the future, doing the thing you love. Having the relationships you want. Finding the contentment you long for.

 Although I'm not heavily into D/s I do believe in a lot of the values that come along with it.. and believe that there are certain things that should be discussed before taking any sort of relationship to a next level. 

Honesty. Respect. Consent. Loyalty. Commitment.

Those are just five words we often throw around without much thought, and without thinking through the consequences. Much like D/s those words mean different things to different people, and it's important to understand where your partner is coming from when you're making decisions.

So often, I see facebook posts from people who have thrown themselves into new relationships and have opened themselves up too quickly, backing down on what they want because someone has shown them a form of affection that they might be able to understand and identify. So many times I watch as the same patterns emerge - patterns that my own relationships have mirrored - and it breaks my heart that the people involved - beautiful people, capable and worthy of love and loving, are hurt because they haven't taken the time to really get to know the person they coupled with.

So, my Pickle-ism for the day is take your time.

Hopefully, I'll take my own advice next time, too.

There is so much brain activity going on in my head right now I'm kind of struggling to function.

This is amplified by the fact I've managed to completely screw up my sleep schedule! I'm mad at myself, but I know this is just me taking a step backwards before starting off onto my whole "New Pickle" regime again. 

I've been joking lately that I'm going through an entire mid-life crisis. I feel like maybe I'm a little bit young to actually have a mid-life crisis, but then I remember that I'm only 19 in my head, and maybe it's completely appropriate to feel like a post-pubescent teenager again, 19 years later. (shh. I'm old ok?)

Ideally, I would use this time to buy a brand new car (preferably something fancy - and red. A Porche convertible, because it is Summer here, after all.) and then I remember I can't drive, so that goes out of the window. I'd also like a toy-boy... but only in theory. I've figured out that toy-boys are lovely to look at, but I don't game, don't like anime, and get tired of innuendos fairly quickly, so I reckon I'll just stick with single-dom until the crisis subsides!
