So this is gonna be a pretty quick post, but I have legitimately got SO MUCH TO SAY about all the things, I fully intend to do a much larger post on a few of the items.

For example! The go&see skin that i'm currently wearing is literally giving me life! Also, Kristyna has added TWO new tones, one paler than her gothic tone, and one darker than the old darkest tone. I will show you, I promise!! The Belleza foot problem is no longer a problem, and in her incredibly detailed hud you can now find three feet options, along with all the breast & bum & *cough* foof options, so she's definitely been super busy - and I hope you agree just from the headshot alone her work is definitely paying off!

The eyes I'm wearing are from Lotus, and i'm in awe of the gorgeous two-tone colours. I cannot heart hands these enough. I feel like eyes are the most under-rated body part in SL, with many people not quite realizing how much they add to the quality of their avatar. Lotus never fails to deliver.

Saga have a bunch of eyelashes available at their mainstore at the moment! I've probably not done these justice, and there are four versions, two black, two white (to tint), and I swear I'll revisit these gorgeous natural lashes and show you in more detail when I'm not doing all the things!

Tableau Vivant have been pretty impressive lately too. I'm not sure why, but with most of their hairs I seem to sway towards white. Especially when pairing it with any go&see skin... I just naturally gravitate towards it. This is slightly more grey toned than my usual white, so I guess that's a little different? :P

I've been thinking for a while about this post. Mostly, thinking about the significance of the empty chairs. I think there's always a reason you do something in life, and sometimes those reasons are more obvious than others.

For me, I think the chairs signify that although I am somewhat broken, curled into a self-healing ball at the moment, there's still room at my table for good people. At least, I hope that's what it is. 

I have really been making an effort to step out of my comfort zone, and off of my platform and encounter some new people. It's just terribly unfortunate that a lot of the people I seem to meet like to place me into a box that *I* feel I don't belong.

I get told I'm too much of something. Too serious. Expecting too much of people. That while I appear 'different' at first, I end up being just the same as everyone else.

I'm not sure if that's entirely true. I certainly don't feel like everyone else, and much of the time, I don't feel like anyone is ever going to understand me, much as I try to explain who I am... and those that DO know me, do they really know ME or just the reflection of myself that I project on them?

I'm in a bit of a weird head-space at the moment, trying to sort out my thoughts from my feelings, and I suppose that's kind of being reflected in this picture, too.

I've been popping off the platform a little bit lately, and strutting my stuff a little further than normal.. anyone who's seen me will probably have noticed that I literally cannot take this cute little penis attachment off. It's quite the conversation starter too, apparently, so for that alone, it's worth an investment!

I'm not sure what inspired this picture, but as soon as I had the idea I knew I had to make it happen. Luckily, Man-Pickle came to my rescue and I didn't have to ask any of my friends to castrate themselves for my pleasure! It did mean, however, that I had to attempt to merge two pictures together, and I was unwilling to green screen because you never get quite the right angle in my experience. So.. yeah. I'm chuffed with the resulting picture, and I feel like he pretty seamlessly blends in looking like he was there all along.

So I had no idea what I was doing today and took a nap before deciding to write this. Sometimes, you're in such a negative headspace that the only way to deal with that (for me) is to sleep it off and stop being such a giant misery-guts. So that's what I did... and thankfully, I feel much better.

I've spent the majority of today trying to come up with a name for the new club area at Consent, we're needing something gritty, urban and sexy... that obviously works with the whole theme of the current environment. However, all of us involved are at a loss and I know that I just keep circling around calling it "The Box". Which doesn't really sound very enticing. I think we need to think a little more haha.

Let me just squee about this dress from Miss Chelsea for a moment - I'm so in love with it! Very often in SL you get the idea of something transparent, but the rigging is slightly off and the clipping that occurs is terrible - but with this dress, I've not encountered that at all! My hair didn't even do that weird alpha thing, either! Also, the cute empire boots are beyond perfect for this. Just chill & sporty enough to match! Check out the LMs below.

I have this one friend in SL who has been with me since almost the very beginning of my journey. Almost 10 years, now.

Unfortunately for me (but luckily for her!) her RL has become far too busy to allow her to pop into SL very often. It doesn't escape me however how very lucky I am to have her in my life.

Yesterday we talked again for the first time in maybe four months, she slid easily back into my life, and I hers, and we chatted about everything, real and virtual.. then all too soon it was time for her to disappear again.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not sad. I mean, it would be lovely to spend much more time with her. However, I firmly believe that her time is far better spent in the real world, doing the real things. The one thing I have noticed lately is the negativity, and we briefly chatted last night about how 10 years ago we were so much more likely to befriend someone on a whim. Now, both of us question motives... and I can't help but wonder, what is it about this secondlife, a place where you can be anything, and anyone, that makes people want to be mean?

Why are people creating relationships only to abandon them without word?

What makes you cuss and swear at that stranger you approached 5 minutes ago, when all they've done is signify a slight difference of opinion?

Are we becoming a society of callous, self entitled, pseudo-humans unable to take even the slightest bit of constructive criticism, preferring to have smoke blown up our butts than to have ways to improve pointed out?

More to the point, why are we so desperate to have these mean spirited people like us?

I feel like it's so nice to be nice, why would I try to be anything but? Of course, I have my moments where I'm a right raging bitch... but usually I have been pushed to that point.

Do something nice today, if it's a positive word to a friend, or a compliment to a stranger. Be someone good, someone you'd like to meet. Just for today.

I didn't even realize today was Monday, that's how completely lost I am right now lol.

I have two girl-posts ready to blog, but when I came-to and figured out it was time for Man-Pickle I admit, I had a bit of a freak-out. I mean, I'm not prepared! Where has my weekend gone? What the fudge did I do? WHY WAS THERE NO ALCOHOL INVOLVED?!

Anyway, turns out that this look was actually fairly easy to put together with thanks to items from TMD. I know, I know, I say this every single week, but really... it's all you need. That and a little patience when it comes to things like editing your shit. Seriously guys, don't just put a necklace on. Put a necklace on and make it fit around your neck and above your clothes. It might be a little extra effort, but that five or ten minutes (or thirty for some of you), is really going to make the difference on your avatar!

I'm kind of in love with Man-Pickle right now. I've always liked guys with long hair, and dreadlocks have appealed to me forever. I also adore this skin from Modulus, along with the combination of the eyebrows and beard from Unorthodox, all available at TMD this round.

For those not in the know, TMD opens on the 5th of every month, and runs for the duration. That means there's maybe just over a week left for you to get shopping for this round. Next round I believe is a Birthday round, so I'm super excited to see what happens and the offerings for the man-av SL community!

When I was younger, I did a BUNCH of activities. My parents were the pushy type, but honestly, none of us kids really had a talent for anything they pushed us into. My days were filled with school, and my evenings would consist of Girls Brigade (similar to girl scouts), Viola lessons, Orchestra, Ballet, Tap, Band, etc etc. This was pretty normal for us, and I never really appreciated it - probably still don't fully appreciate the effort my parents went to now, but at the time, all I wanted to do was go out and spend time with my friends, like the normal kids did.

Instead, I would be in a stuffy room, full of sweaty nerdy kids, struggling to par le' somethingorother or arpeggio badly on the viola.

One memory I will always treasure however, is being Frosty the Snowman for a dance show.

I know, it sounds dumb. It WAS dumb. It was SO dumb that my mum made my costume, out of pillow cases.

But no matter how dumb it was, I was motherfucking Frosty. I mean, how many Frosty's are there in the Frosty the snowman song? ONE. And I was it. That meant I was important. I had a freakin' solo. 

I think I must have been like 13. Still petite then, because let's face it, doing all the things ALL the time keeps you fit and trim. I still remember opening night of that show, there I am, doused in the frumpy pillowcases of my rather creative, pushy mother, waiting for that opening of the curtain, the younger children running and screaming in the background, getting into position waiting for the music to start too... and then the curtains actually open.

I don't have a horror story for you. 

It actually went really well, and the kids popped that hat on my head and I tap-danced my way across the stage with step-ballchanges and shuffles like a pro.

There's probably a VHS tape of it somewhere in my parents collection, shamefully.

This photo, despite being far more elegant than a frumpy Frosty, reminds me of the feeling I got at the end of that performance. The feeling of "Hey, I did it. All that work, all that effort, all that practice and it happened!"

I also just found out I have a niece. I've never been an Aunty before. Welcome to the world, little Harper. I can't wait to meet you!

I wish I could export it to RL and have had it for the week I was sick, because let's face it, when you're feeling under the weather, what's nicer than fresh, fluffy sheets, some beautiful surroundings and of course, the doggers (although they're not CandyDoll!) are another perfect addition.

I'm not entirely sure what it is but lately i've been struggling to focus. I don't have a lot going on in RL, SL is pretty much just ebbing along the way it does, yet there's a niggling thought in my head that maybe, maybe I'm forgetting something. I've even taken to writing things down physically on a notepad so I definitely don't forget anything. Maybe it's old age (AH!), or perhaps it's because i'm still recovering from being sick - and I'm almost never sick so it was probably a shock to my system.

Either way, let's hope it passes soon because this is bonkers and I'm frustrating myself!

I also decided to downgrade in terms of SL land, I had "The Platform" for the bloggy things, "The Farm" for Santi and I to relax at, and ofc, Consent for all the other things. I decided to cut down the farm land, because well, I'm barely there anyway! Plus, I just LOVE creating new scenes, so having somewhere that was always the same, although lovely, was kind of... not Pickle, and with Santi's hamster having fallen off it's wheel it's just not worth me trying to keep up with payments and stuff. Who really needs three parcels anyway?! It's just greedy!

I think I've squee'd plenty of times at Moss&Mink, and will continue to for all time, because the items are so stinking cute. These amazing offerings available at this round of Bloom are no different to usual. I absolutely adore the delicacy of the vases/bottled flowers and the heart drop lights, and almost immediately I knew I wanted to put the items in an outside scene, because it's just not normal. And Pickle (as you should know) is anything but normal.

The refuge mirror comes with silver and gold options. As is becoming a bit of an adorable trademark of the Refuge brand, these mirrors come with sparkles embedded in. I meant to grab a gyazo gif, but ofc, I'm a derpface and totes forgot, so I'm hoping that my awful description pokes you toward having a peek in world for yourself.

I find it can be quite difficult sometimes to merge both decor and fashion, but for whatever reason I struggle more not having a 'presence' in a photograph and thoroughly applaud those who can take amazing decor only shots. I will probably never be that person, although I have attempted it a couple of times, and chose to rep Miss Chelsea and Empire in my attire today. I fudging love this hat. Seriously. I don't really do the hat thing, but I do like headpieces and such. I think part of that is because you can show so much emotion in a picture when you show eyes, but if you take the eyes away you're sort of left with not much that is going to give you that same amount of emotion... anywho...  this hat gave me life and made me feel like a lady who lunches, maybe in the middle of an enchanted woods. Alone. With no food. *shrugs*

I gotta be 100% honest right now and say I've actually used the "Slink fit" option on the belleza body, and whacked my maitreya feet on. The reason for this is because the go&See skin, while beautiful and perfect and flawless in every other way... does not work for bare belleza feet. I am going to let Kristyna know, and hopefully she can make some adjustments - but if there are no alternatives with the belleza feet, there are definitely alternatives you can use with the feet themselves. I'm pretty sure the reason for the dodgy feet is mapping, btw. Not that I actually know what that means, but it sounds fancy and I know that all the SL feet are created slightly differently, which is why we get all those shoes rigged differently in packs. That's all. I'll stop rambling now.

UPDATE! I talked with Kristyna, and she has the textures, because ofc, she's all knowing and they simply weren't in the body hud! That means there should be a perfect belleza foot coming soon from Go&See! <3 <3 <3
