I know, Pickle looks super sad in this picture, but there's a theory behind my emotional turmoil here.. and it's that although Christmas and the Christmas Season is supposed to be filled with joy and happiness, for some people, it's just not possible.

I think it's an important reminder too, that not everyone celebrates Christmas, whether that's down to religion or personal reasons.. I know that as I grew up the idea of someone doing something differently to me at Christmas time was completely foreign, why would ANYONE want to give up all those lovely presents??

Anywayyyy... Sometimes we all lose track of what Christmas is supposed to be about. It's the season of giving, and for me that doesn't necessarily mean monetary or material items, but it's a time to reflect and actually spend time with those we care about. Everything we think of at this time of year in terms of giving to other people should be continuous themes in our lives, no matter what the season or date, and I for one am grateful that regardless of how successful I am in being decent at reminding people I care, this time of year pokes me in the face and gives a massive hint that I can, and should, be better.

On another note... I did a little research into Krampus (super quick, because I'm old, and learning is bleh.) it seems he's the evil to Santa's good.. instead of rewarding children with presents, he'd kidnap them, drown them and sometimes eat them.

Kinda gross, but thanks Wikipedia for being the reason i'm not gonna sleep tonight.

In fairness, I absolutely hate festivities before Dec 1st, however, when Moss&Mink dropped this Couch & Chair set, I needed to make a warm and cosy Christmassy area that you could cuddle up in contentedly.

I often look at my photographs and literally see the ebbs and flows of my moods.

Right now, I'm in a good place. But it seems like the work I do when I'm at my lowest is the work that I end up most proud of.

I wonder why that is?

Howeverrrr. I'm obviously going to keep attempting to improve, and hopefully work out why my state of mind affects my "art" (or whatever you wanna call it) so decisively. Maybe I just overthink when I'm good, and when I'm low, I don't care? Haha. FUDGE.

Making this fairly quick today, because I can. :P

I've been thinking about choices, and what goes into our making them. I'm not very good at decision making, and while it's true that to some extent I thrive on the dramatic, making choices leaves me with funny feelings in my tummy, and not in a good way all the time - especially if they're important.

Since I've been told I have Borderline Personality Disorder, I've become far more aware of my impulses. I'm incredibly wary as to what I do, and when, and how - because I want to be sure that I'm making the RIGHT choice. But then I overthink that, too, and end up wavering in the grey area until finally I eeny meanie miney mo, and jump right in impulsively anyway.
