Appearances can be deceptive.

I've learned that you really can't judge a book by it's cover. As much as I love to see a fully put together avatar, I'm far more open to finding a fully put together heart now. 

For me, outside appearances are now a bonus.

I would rather meet a new player with a pure heart than an old player with a twisted mind and some pretty pixels.

Trusting is no longer easy, for many of us. We have been burned. We have been mislabelled by reactions we've had to situations caused by the malice of others. We're pigeon holed by those labels and fight to free ourselves daily. While I believe we are many things to many people, the only person who ever has a chance of really understanding us, is ourselves. Unless, we open up.

I want nothing more than to continue being brave, opening up to people and allowing them in. Encountering all their pain, and molding it with mine in a bitter sweet reminiscence that brings us close. Not sheltering each other, but leaning against each other and saying "I understand." Because with most situations you have encountered, another would have been there too.

I'm incredibly grateful to the people I have met lately.

You have all taught me to be strong, and have unintentionally assured me that yes, there IS still good. Yes, there ARE still people who believe in the basic morality of humanity and consideration to others and their lives.

I was just passing, but I couldn't resist picking up these adorable lil chooks!

I know, I know! I'm not even dressed for it, but my mouth started watering at the thought of some freshly laid eggs with my bacon in the morning, and let's face it, EVERYTHING is better with bacon!

Breakfasts are weird. I mean, it's not weird to eat breakfast, but English Breakfasts are often depicted as weird, and that's cool. To be perfectly frank, I have never understood the idea of putting chips (fries) on your plate before lunch time! We also have the habit of eating beans for breakfast. Not the green type, but the baked beans in tomato sauce type. This has never seemed odd to me, but since I've been using SL & have connected with Americans in particular, I've noticed it's definitely not the norm.

Of course there are things that even I won't touch - I don't want to know what Black/Blood Pudding is, but it looks and smells disgusting. Not for me, thank you!

In my house growing up, it was rare we had a full English breakfast, we were used to toast and cereal in the morning. If we were getting a treat, we'd have a pop tart, or maybe some Eggy Bread (French Toast) or on days where it was expected to be really cold, Porridge (Oats).

I'm really hungry now, enjoy some LMs to cool fashion finds while I wander off to grab something to fill my belly!

I'm not sure what it is about the Autumn season, but it always makes me want to be a red-head, and I absolutely adore this amazing tone from Tableau Vivant. 

What makes a hair colour even better in SL? Matching eyebrow colours! Yes, I'm aware that most skins now provide a 'browless' version (and if they don't, I probably won't buy them), but not only do Essences give you browless, but also Black, Brown, Red, Ginger & Blonde. Can you say "Yaaas"? 

Lotus has been absolutely killing their eyes lately and these are no exception. They're out 

for Tannenbaum, and (as you'll see in the close up below) there's a little sparkle in them, perfect for the fast-approaching holiday season. I'm wearing two colours, because I like to think I'm fancy!

The teal of the tie-shirt from Bueno I thought really bought out the red in my hair. It took me a while to choose a colour because there are so many options, my indecisiveness flitted between each for a while before settling for this, which was actually the first one I tried! Isn't that always the way? :P

I paired the tie-top with these leggings from MuggleBorn. I know you can't see much of them, but the frill top is a wonderful take on a simple staple for your wardrobe, and for you ladies with a little extra, there's also "pouch" versions available. The butt is pretty nifty too!
