I got all freaked out today when I read in my "Yes Man" book (yes, re-reading it, it's good, don't judge me), that someone had their interest PEAKED. Now, I always thought it was PIQUED. So now we're going on a google journey to find out the difference.

Anyway. now that my curiosity has been sated, let's only use peaked in relation to things with a peak, yah? Thanks so much.
I think I've expressed before that I have trouble just letting things go, and I'm not entirely sure why it's so troublesome for me. The smallest interactions can leave me examining every little thing I said, and even when I have the best intentions my message often ends up becoming quite mixed.
That being said, I want to make something clear.
I blog because I love it. When it comes to expressing an opinion about blogging, it is always that - my opinion. I don't think I'm any more 'right' than anyone else, nor do I believe that I am above anyone else. Blogging is 100% an art form, and when given the correct equipment for your art, you can excel beyond even your own expectations. If you're not given the equipment, it's your responsibility to find the items you'd like to blog. It's no-one's responsibility to provide you with the tools, but should you decide you'd like to apply for a blogger position, it's entirely my belief that you should grab that opportunity with both hands, remembering during the course of your blogger career with that brand how extremely lucky you are to be granted the creativity of the brand in question.
It's my belief that not only do you have a responsibility to that brand, but also to the applicants to that brand that weren't lucky enough to have access to the products you're now blogging. Suggesting that you'd like to skip over certain items because they don't fit your style is -in my opinion- insulting, because you APPLIED for that position (If you didn't apply and the creators are friends, where the fudge is your loyalty to your friends? Are you still a blogger, or are you always a friend, regardless of your photography talent? Are you taking up a blogger spot as well, or are you just lucky enough to be passed items from your friend? This makes my brain sore.). Other people applied that would wholeheartedly grasp at those products and happily, excitedly show off the amazingly talented creators we're lucky enough to see all over secondlife. If you blog, and find yourself in a position where the product no longer brings you happiness, GIVE UP YOUR SPOT for that blogger team, as there are probably a bunch of people waiting for it.
It saddens me daily that there seems to be such entitlement when it comes to blogging.
Although without a doubt I am extremely lucky, I am by no means one of the best bloggers in SL, despite my passion, despite my attempts at continuing to improve, but I don't have to be the best to enjoy every minute of what I do. I am however, blessed with some exceptionally talented people who are generous enough to grant me their items to attempt to make some pretties with, and damned if i'll sit here while bloggers belittle the beauty and generosity creators show on a regular basis.
Okay I feel better now! Have a beautiful day, Spoonies and never take anything for granted, because there is always someone wishing they had what you have.

The Secret Affair has opened it's doors to celebrate the festival of Lupercalia. I didn't originally know what this was, so thanks to google (again, and honestly as much as I love books I don't miss giant encyclopedias) I found out that it's basically a celebration similar to that of Valentines day, but much, much gorier. I don't really wanna go into details about what I found out, but if you're interested you should research it and relish the gory all for yourself!
I don't know where this murderous rampage idea came from, I swear I'm in a pretty good head space at the moment, and I don't feel like I need to be a violent lil shite... but when I saw how elegant and flow-y this gorgeous Narcisse dress is, I automatically saw this entire set up in my head.
I rather think of Pickle as the angel of death. Kinda beautiful and kinda scary, she'll hunt you down and tear you apart with her bare hands, without getting a drop of your blood on her dress.
Ok. I might have said too much, but still... I'm loving it!

I love how this came out. I know it's only January, but the joy of SL is that it can be spring whenever you like, and so that's what I'm celebrating in this picture - doing whatever the fudge I want! I'm also only slightly snickering over the fact there's an actual honeypot covering my, uh, honeypot!

It's now 7am and for whatever reason I'm still wide awake and utterly avoiding going to the corner shop because I'm out of butter, the same way I have been avoiding it for the last two days. Do you even know how many food things need butter to make them work? I was like "Oh, just have a potato, Pickle." and then I remember it's rubbish if there's not a lick of butter on yer jacket tattie!
Anywho, fingers crossed I'll be able to brave the outside today without a house falling on me and loosing my favourite pair of ruby red slippers (I think I might be slightly sleep deprived again), and I'll return with Clover and NikNaks of the Rib and Spicy variety. I'm also hungry.
This scene was a little bit of a challenge for me, but ultimately I'm super happy with the outcome!
I really enjoy attempting to pull everything together coherently, while attempting to give a little visual story to go along with it. It's definitely a work in progress (as is my photography process in general!) and I'm thoroughly enjoying learning new things and trying new angles!

I was so excited about these fairies from HEXtraordinary that I absolutely had to grab them immediately.
There are a few different colours and options - shoulder sitters, companions, rezzables and the cute lil fae's that are 'trapped' in the bottles. I like to think these are naughty fairies, and they deserve to be there, because why would anyone want to trap such an adorable fantastical fairy.
So, in other news, last night I may have had a small glass of wine or uh, maybe an entire bottle.
I'm not a big drinker, and after one glass (diluted, too, because I'm a complete lightweight), I was definitely feeling the effects.
One of the reasons I dislike drinking is because secretly I might be a bit of a control freak. I don't want to fall into the trap of feeling as though the person I am is dependent on something as fickle as alcohol. It IS a depressant, and I know from experience of working in pubs and of course drinking in my youth (shh, most of us did that), that alcohol has a different way of altering your personality depending on the way you're feeling at the time. I've also been privy to a couple of people who have over-used alcohol as an escape.
Like everything, I suppose it's best used in moderation, and although I had a lovely time with some SL friends, I don't want to repeat the experience too often.

Firstly, I'd like to take a moment to apologize for the sheer amount of Pickle nips and foof you're seeing lately. I realize it's not been a particular 'style' of mine to run around with all my bits hanging out - but sometimes, it kind of is.. and I guess right now I'm just having a run of nips and foof. I hope you're finding more things to look at though, but as I said in a fb feed lately, there are so many beautiful lingerie items made within SL, sometimes it just feels like it's a shame not to wear them and showcase them in a way that doesn't make me feel like I'm a classless hooker *coughs* and I only hope that you do see the beauty in the details that I see too.
I also hope that the "Adult content" page isn't causing too much of an issue, but really it's just for protection. Because I AM showing slightly more adult content lately, I just don't want my blog to go poof because I didn't do something as simple as add a warning, even though I don't class any of my pictures as porn-like, or even particularly adult themed... I rather like to consider them arty and pretty, whether or not others agree remains to be seen!

Today, I bought you flowers.
As soon as I saw this tattoo I squee'd. Santi also prodded me to make sure I'd seen it.
I don't love many flowers, I mean, they're pretty to look at and some of them smell okay but I'm a pretty severe hayfever sufferer and if I sniff for too long I'm likely to cough, splutter and sneeze for at least an hour afterwards... but sunflowers? I can get with those bad boys.
I'm not sure what it is. Perhaps it's their cheery colour, or the fact that they really do look like little suns growing tall and proud, or maybe it's because as a kid in Primary Schools we were encouraged to grow them and the tallest won.. something I don't remember. I don't like eating the seeds, but I do like watching the lil animals scampering around shoveling them into their mouths and running away with cheeks full to popping point. And hamsters. I kinda have a love hate relationship with those furry buggers too, but they're always adorable with a pouch full of sunflower seeds.
Anyway... with such unusual colouring I wanted to make this picture pop, and I totally copied my Juni and ran around Elysion (because she'd reminded me I was in the group and I flippin' paid the fee so I'm gonna flippin' use it, k?). I believe it's been newly decorated and semi-newly opened up with rentals and it's of course, stunning and I hate that I'm a fraction as talented as the landscapers... but I digress again...
Honestly, I have no idea where I'm going. Sometimes I start with a plan, and other times it half formulates as I'm writing. I think today I might have fallen down a rabbit hole and maybe should have written about bedazzling my vagjayjay like I suggested to Juni, but I'm not. Instead I'll tell you that I spent a small fortune trying to get the bee's & the purple headpiece from a Lode Gacha, because they matched the tattoo and whenever I think of Sunflowers I also think of bee's, and scamper off to sleep after an amazingly awesome set by Recka at Consent. Yes. That's a good plan Pickle. Go to sleep you plonker.

Again today I have woken up with a bunch of spoons in my pocket. This makes me incredibly happy! I am also prepared for today thanks to completing the photographs for today yesterday! LOOK AT ME GO, being all organized and shiz!
I've never done a post of this size before, and I know I've made a couple of oopsies, but I implore you to overlook said oopsies and love me anyway, so uh, here goes nothing!
I'm going to go ahead and focus on the Go&See skin, available at the skin fair at the moment.
It's called Katarina and is available in 5 tones. Here's a picture of the tones!
From left to right, Goth, Pale, Summer, Tan & Dark Tan.
For the following photographs I have used the FIRESTORM viewer, on ULTRA with the windlight CalWL. The pictures are unedited except for the cropping effects.
My personal favourite is the pale, but that's probably because of the white hair i've chosen for the blog today. All of the tones are gorgeous - flawless in fact. Another bonus for me was that it fit perfectly with my shape without a tweak necessary, and as I've said before, that's a massive bonus!
I'm also sporting the white eyebrow version, but there are THREE options for eyebrows! The other two are shown below.
Left - No brow. Right - Black brow on Pale tone.
It's worth noting that the head skin is on an OMEGA applier. I'm showing it on my current Magy Catwa head, and I didn't try it on any other head, purely because of the fit I mentioned above. However... if your head is Omega compatible, this skin will work.
I want to go ahead and remind you that just because a skin says OMEGA compatible, it doesn't mean that it will automatically look great on your head. Sometimes you're going to have to tweak your shape to make it look good. Please, please don't be scared to do this! I know that many of you enjoy your look and are reluctant to change, but know that sometimes, the smallest little fiddle with your sliders can turn you from "OMGWTF?!! :( " to "OMG! WTF! :) "
I was a little overwhelmed with choices when I saw the body huds for this skin because there are LITERALLY SO MANY OPTIONS I COULDN'T BELIEVEEEEE IT.
Below I will show you some of the boobies!
These are the 'normal' breast options in Tan tone. The only reason I skipped up to Tan was because for photography reasons, the differences just stood out further.
On the left, the body is softer, and on the right you might notice a little more rib action going on.
I want to point out here the collarbone definition, and the elbows.
It's been a long time since I've looked at a skin in such detail and honestly had a "Wow" reaction, but let me squee and tell you it happened with this. Also worth a second look are the knees (shown in my regular 3-panel picture) and the absolutely adorable belly button that makes me wanna stick my tongue in it. I'm pretty sure I could find an animation for that if i looked hard enough! xD
Shown here are the cleavage options, again in the Tan tone.
On the left is the first cleavage option with the ribs, and on the right, the second cleavage option without. Both the first and second versions of the cleavage come with the rib & no rib versions on the hud, so play around and figure out which one you like best.

I mean, I'm gonna need it back, but you're free to stare!
Far left is booty option one. The only way I can describe this is that it has an element of realism that I personally feel has been missing for a long time. There's extra creases along the under-butt, and also slight hints of imperfections and maybe even a little cellulite. I sorta kinda love this option!
Middle and Right options - I gotta be honest, I don't see a whole lot of change here. The skin is a lot smoother and the imperfections less obvious. However, not shown in any of these pictures are the front view options of the "booty", and the body hud has them in abundance. As comfortable as I am getting down and dirty with tits and arse, I'm not overly confident with getting my foof out and parading that around my blog quite yet, but let me just tell you if you struggle finding a foof that makes you tingle, you will definitely find it in this hud. On top of the foofage, there's also "hip" options, and I'm sure the differences come down to the slightest shading that I can't pick up because I'm not nearly as fancy and talented as Kristyna of Go&See.
I really really cannot suggest you demo this skin hard enough. All the body huds are on omega appliers too, so they will work for ANY major body brand, so long as they support the omega applier & you have (where necessary) the required omega relay/support.

This is a SUPER fast gyazo gif (sorry about the quality) of the amazing bento tears by Dirty Secrets at the RLD event! If you're already an owner of the drool system by Dirty Secrets you'll be familiar with the hud included, and there's even an extra hud so that you can work both the drool & tears together without needing both individual huds on your screen at the same time. For those of you who don't already own the drool hud, just be well aware that you're going to explode with happy. There are several options for your tear type (clear, blue, bloody and more!) PLUS options for speed, and facial expressions, well worth the purchase! I'm wearing them with the catwa unrigged eyes, and combined with the pulsing included with those, I'm sure you'll agree that the result is just stunning.
