I roped in Potato for this post, and uh, kinda forced him into making over his avatar completely (not quite completely, but I did make him buy the new Lelutka "Guy" head). Seeing as how his internet hasn't improved over the past 18 months, it's impossible for me to find out exactly what he's wearing, but I -think- his hair is Stealthic, and his shirt is from Ascend... but I'm not certain, hence my hesitance in linking all the things.

Still, we look pretty, and clearly I'd much rather stare at him than the beautiful sunset behind us, so that's awesome, right?

I got super frustrated with this post, and for a moment I reverted into ungrateful, annoyed and super negative Pickle of last year. Not good, not fresh, not something I want to revisit, ever. 

Luckily, Potato is incredibly understanding and fully supported me having a near-hissy-fit, calmed me down and told me to go the fuck to sleep (not quite like that, but he probably could have gotten away with it... maybe?), but yeah. Here we are 3 days later with an actual picture to show for his patience! I love that man.

I'm a bit of a busy bee today. I'm dabbling in the DFS farm system in SL (again) at the moment, and so far, most of my day has been spent doing a quest for some Chives. It's all a bit bizarre, honestly, but I'm not mad, because it gave me the chance to edit some pictures and catch up on some of my favourite youtubers at the same time as completing it all. I may have gone a bit OTT though, because I bought 5 huds... and if any of you have already done this chive quest, you'll understand my slight amount of "omfg what have I done".

In other news, Moss&Mink has been very busy! I've paired together a bunch of her new items, available at different events which I'll of course list below... but all of them have a freakin' stunning finish and I'm once again blown away by how talented Cielo is!

There's also this adorable bodysuit from Miss Chelsea that I feel could be dressed up with the skirt (not shown) for a hot date or worn separately as shown above. The lace detailing is beautiful!

Lastly, Empire's shoes finish the outfit off with an appropriate amount of oomph!

I used the Axis hud from LeLutka to get this adorably weird expression!

I've been looking at the new Lelutka heads for a while and I just couldn't decide whether or not I needed a new one.

Turns out I did.

After a quick demo of all of them (ok it wasn't actually that quick...shh!) I decided upon Piper, mostly because it's so completely different to any of the other heads I currently have. I loved that the nose was slightly less 'pretty' and more obscure, so I made a brand new Pickle-fied Lelutka Piper just for me.

I kind of love her to pieces, and it's pushed me out of being cutesy Pickle (that I STILL love and adore!) and back into the realms of slightly more quirky.

When Bueno popped this building in Collabor88 I got a little excited. My Potato man is of Cuban descent, and we'd recently been talking about the streets of Cuba having tons of old vehicles parked against the sides of the roads. I can't remember the exact reason, because honestly, my brain kind of tunes out anything that has something to do with politics (and I think that's what happened here, something to do with not being able to trade or.. idk?) anyway, because of the weird politics I can't remember, the only vehicles Cuba has are those which are built entirely IN Cuba, or those that have been kept by Cuban people learning how to repair existing parts from cars that were imported back in the 50's and 60's.

I realize that my photography skills for this particular idea may be lacking, but I entirely encourage you to google the streets of Cuba, because without a doubt, the images are stunning. 

Regardless, I hope you enjoy Man-Pickle Friday, it's a bit of a change for me, but entirely necessary - have you seen the awesome man-things he's wearing!?

One of the big reasons I decided to bring Man-Pickle out on a day that isn't Monday was thanks to this skin by Revoul named Ezekiel.

My head of choice for Man-Pickle for a long time has been Stanley, by Catwa, and that's due to my love of thicker lips and wider noses, plus the chiseling of the cheeks and the squarer jaw that is far easier to achieve on Stanley than Daniel. Luckily for me, the Ezekiel skin accentuates all of those features I love so hard, and above you can see all the tones available from RE05, to RE40.

Here are two of the body  options available for the male body, shown in my tone preference of RE25.

On the left is a "Fit" version, and on the right i'm featuring the "Soft". I believe there might be a third option as "Chubby", but I've yet to get my hands on that one, and as soon as I do, I'll showcase it! I for one am super excited about seeing a chubby option for the guys, because who doesn't love a Dad Bod?!

I don't do much RL online shopping, but I decided to peruse Amazon after getting a voucher for Christmas. I'd always been interested in those funky charcoal masks, so I picked one of those up first, and then still had enough left over for something else.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this book before, but it's called "Yes Man" and it's by a guy called Danny Wallace. He's an English dude, and the way the book is written is right up my alley. Complete sarcasm, infused with utter nonsense, with a little bit of a moral, too. Because I liked that book so much, I picked up a copy of another of his books, called "Random Acts of Kindness".

I expected this to be very similar to his previous book, but it is in fact, entirely different.

It's literally just a list of suggestions of how to make someone's day a bit better and I can't describe how much I freaking love it. There's ideas anywhere from planting a tree, to buying a tub of coleslaw for a Portuguese man called Rui, and applauding someone for making an effort.

On that note, I want to invite you to do something nice for someone today.

Doesn't have to be much, doesn't have to cost you a thing... but just do something that will make them smile, and sit back and see how it affects you, too.

As soon as I saw this tattoo by Dappa, I knew what I had to do... get totally naked and smear myself in honey, of course!

I love how this came out. I know it's only January, but the joy of SL is that it can be spring whenever you like, and so that's what I'm celebrating in this picture - doing whatever the fudge I want! I'm also only slightly snickering over the fact there's an actual honeypot covering my, uh, honeypot!

It's now 7am and for whatever reason I'm still wide awake and utterly avoiding going to the corner shop because I'm out of butter, the same way I have been avoiding it for the last two days. Do you even know how many food things need butter to make them work? I was like "Oh, just have a potato, Pickle." and then I remember it's rubbish if there's not a lick of butter on yer jacket tattie!

Anywho, fingers crossed I'll be able to brave the outside today without a house falling on me and loosing my favourite pair of ruby red slippers (I think I might be slightly sleep deprived again), and I'll return with Clover and NikNaks of the Rib and Spicy variety. I'm also hungry.

So yesterdays adventure into the real world was absolutely freakin' exhausting.

I've started getting really, really anxious before something happens that means I have to leave the house, and although I DID manage to go to my parents special Anniversary dinner, it was nothing short of a miracle, 

At around 5am Sunday morning, having not yet slept and knowing I'd be leaving the house at around 10am, I found myself in my kitchen having a bit of a melt-down. I wish I could explain all the thoughts in my head, but anyone who has a tendency to overthink and/or suffers with anxiety will be able to tell you it'll start with something very simple, and end up with your chest heaving while you're clinging on to the kitchen cabinets for dear life while the kettle boils somewhere in the far off distance.

I did consider saying I couldn't make it. Just for a minute, of course... but I knew if I said no this time, it might be a really long time before I said yes again, and I can't have that. I have to do these ridiculously basic things with the people I love, not just for them, but for me.

The advantage of my managing to drag my half-undead body from my flat to the restaurant was that I ate a bloody amazing meal, and my dad got inebriated while my brother, who was driving, sulked playfully at being sober over his rather yummy looking steak.

All in all, it was totally worth the anxiety and I'm glad I didn't miss another family milestone.

I've been reflecting a lot today, and I just wanna put it out there that I can be an asshole.

By asshole, I mean sometimes I just cannot keep my mouth shut.

For me to make sense of things, I need to vent.. and sometimes my choice of who I vent to can be somewhat uh.. fucked up. 

See, I kind of have this habit of blurting, whether I've just met someone or I've known them for a while, I often scoop myself all the way up onto my high horse and preach to the hilltops about my personal opinions. While I'm much more confident in my opinions lately, that doesn't mean that everyone needs to know them, nor does it mean they care. I need to remember this.

I do have a habit of talking shit, too. Nothing that I can relate to 'gossip' as such, it's more like I'm really trying to work out WHY something happened, why I feel the way I do about a situation, what -I- could have done differently and why someone else reacted the way they did.

If I "talk shit" there's a 90% chance that I have already told the person I'm talking shit about how I feel, but again - that's not really anyone else's business. and it's certainly not my job to point out the flaws of others when I am so un-perfect myself.

I was considering the idea of new years resolutions today, and I think I've decided what mine is. I don't often make resolutions, because I feel like for the most part they are unrealistic, but for 2019, I want to do better at dealing with a situation and moving on. For my own sanity, I need to let things go, confide more in people that genuinely care and aren't just floaters in my life, and I definitely need to mind my own fucking business.

I really want to project positivity, and if I'm concentrated so firmly on other people and how negative they are (to ME), I will never achieve the serenity inside myself that I'm aiming for.

Lemme start off by saying a big thank you to Apple, who is currently "Apple Bottom" and did indeed, lend me her butt. TA LOVE!

I think it looks like Man-Pickle has been behaving badly in this photograph. Maybe he's pinched Apple's butt one too many times and she's sent him out of the cabin to think about what he's done while she tidies up his awful mess and eats her breakfast in peace. Man-Pickle is however considering all the ways he could get her back, and contemplating dumping the contents of the marshmallow bucket in her hot chocolate! Is that really a bad thing though?
