My local corner shop is offering Flaming Hot Twisted Cheeto's, so I purchased two packs, and watched a huge amount of the Great British Bake Off today. I really feel like this picture is an entire mood!
Check out the quick lil' video I did on the Grande Carousel!
Once again, Potato's net is being mean. I'm almost 100% certain he's wearing hair from Doux, Tattoo from Dappa, Outfit from Legal Insanity and maybeee his shoes are from Deadwool.
I spoke to my RL Mum today. She's a stickler for doing things her way, and as I've been slowly inching my way towards health and happiness, she's not always had the most supportive things to say. "Well hurry up and get it done" has pretty much been the narrative.
We've never had the best relationship, we're a lot alike in personality and we'd clash regularly throughout my teens and.. well, until now, really.
I started to talk to her differently. When I call or visit, I make sure I actually engage with her. I ask her how she is and I listen. I might not have a complete handle on my emotions yet and naturally there's still times where I snap, or she snaps, and we sit in silence for a moment.
Most recently she asked if I liked a pair of shoes she'd purchased for my daughter. I probably should have thought through my answer to be a little more mindful of the effort she went to, but my reply was something along the lines of "Not really, they look like special shoes." She huffed, a lot. For a 70 year old lady she can tantrum like a 6 year old... and rather than just letting it go, I snapped "If you don't want my opinion, don't ask."
I reckon I'm gonna feel bad about that interaction for a while, but I also think that maybe that was important, because I've tended to cower in her presence, and finally, at the grand ol' age of 38, I think I stood up to my Mum.
During my musings about my mental health, I've often wondered how hard it must have been for her growing up, so long ago. It's hardly surprising she has issues due to what she's faced in her past, and having an understanding of that will hopefully allow us to connect on a completely different level.
Anywho. Enjoy the contents of today's blawwwg. Be good to yourself, and each other!

Revoul tones for the Arabella Genus Applier skin. I'm wearing RE20, which is top right!
In this set of pictures I'm wearing the DOUX - Brianna Hairstyle and my eyes are Lotus Royalty Mesh Eyes.
I've had a preeetty busy day today, and although I'm achy and sore, I'm incredibly grateful to just be here to share silly little SecondLife things with you.
I've been working on a vlog, at this moment in time, my editing program is behaving like a complete butthole and I'm struggling immensely!
I'm thoroughly enjoying the whole vlog thing, as it's definitely pushing my levels of personal comfort and feeling a bit like a derp when I talk... and although my editing is basic at best, I'm enjoying learning more each time I try.
xoxo
- Update... for whatever reason, my video editing program was completely ridiculous. After 6 hours attempting to be patient with the lag it was experiencing yesterday, and going to bed annoyed (i like to keep to my self-made deadlines) I decided to attempt a brand new program. Currently, it's worked out pretty well as I've completed the vlog! \o/ Please excuse the animal noises in the background, I shoulda moved from the ground to a platform - and my ground is LITERALLY a farm!
The Revoul skin shown today is available in 5 tones, my favourite (shown in the main pictures and vlog) is the RE25 tone! ♥
When Bueno popped this building in Collabor88 I got a little excited. My Potato man is of Cuban descent, and we'd recently been talking about the streets of Cuba having tons of old vehicles parked against the sides of the roads. I can't remember the exact reason, because honestly, my brain kind of tunes out anything that has something to do with politics (and I think that's what happened here, something to do with not being able to trade or.. idk?) anyway, because of the weird politics I can't remember, the only vehicles Cuba has are those which are built entirely IN Cuba, or those that have been kept by Cuban people learning how to repair existing parts from cars that were imported back in the 50's and 60's.
I realize that my photography skills for this particular idea may be lacking, but I entirely encourage you to google the streets of Cuba, because without a doubt, the images are stunning.
Regardless, I hope you enjoy Man-Pickle Friday, it's a bit of a change for me, but entirely necessary - have you seen the awesome man-things he's wearing!?
xoxo
One of the big reasons I decided to bring Man-Pickle out on a day that isn't Monday was thanks to this skin by Revoul named Ezekiel.
My head of choice for Man-Pickle for a long time has been Stanley, by Catwa, and that's due to my love of thicker lips and wider noses, plus the chiseling of the cheeks and the squarer jaw that is far easier to achieve on Stanley than Daniel. Luckily for me, the Ezekiel skin accentuates all of those features I love so hard, and above you can see all the tones available from RE05, to RE40.
Here are two of the body options available for the male body, shown in my tone preference of RE25.
On the left is a "Fit" version, and on the right i'm featuring the "Soft". I believe there might be a third option as "Chubby", but I've yet to get my hands on that one, and as soon as I do, I'll showcase it! I for one am super excited about seeing a chubby option for the guys, because who doesn't love a Dad Bod?!
I'm not sure how well this depicts Cuban music, as the Potato's internet went poof, but I absolutely love the shots of the streets and the view of the cars etc shown in the video, so, enjoy! ♥
This picture was inspired 100% by the absolutely adorable Culprit FuzzyWuzzy!!
Culprit currently has a storewide sale going on, so for a while you can grab this gorgeously fuzzy, cuddly kitty for 50L.. along with some equally as amazing items. The sale is in order to provide the Culprit creators with a brand new roof for their house, and in light of the recent forays into go-fund-me's and other awkward fundraisers, in my opinion this is beneficial for everyone. Low-cost, quality SL items which will equate to real life help. Shop your little hearts out, grab some unique Holiday gifts and have a blast in the process. Lovely jubbly!
I guess this isn't a particularly spooky post, but I did want to make it slightly creepy.. I don't think there's nearly enough blood and gore, but hey, I'm cute af!
On another note, I did manage to slay the lazy, and I updated a bunch of LMs yesterday on the Locations page of this blog. If you're looking for pretty places to take photographs, or just to explore, there are some lovely sims included (And no doubt a bunch more I've yet to find!).
If I can continue along the lines of not being a lazy Pickle, you might even find some pictures included at some point, too... although many of the spots are seasonal or subject to change.
I hope you stay safe this Halloween, and don't eat TOO much candy (is there such a thing??)
I'm doing a bit of a quickie post today because it's Friday and I'm feeling L A Z Y!
The focus of the blog today are these fabulously cute little Octofloofs available at the Culprit Mainstore.
So go grab your little Octofloof! They're wearable and available in 6 colours, and if you peep the little gif I've done below, you can see the cute animation in them too!
I like to imagine that Pickle and Durex have crept into an old, abandoned house in this photograph.
I'm not entirely sure where they've strewn their clothing, or what possessed them to run around such a creepy place with their pants down, but we all do crazy things sometimes, and maybe this is one of those times!
Culprit has once again stunned me with their magical bento Piano.
Don't get me wrong, it's not going to perform card tricks, or pull a rabbit from a top hat, but that doesn't make it any less spectacular! I'm adding another little gif whatsit below so that you can get a glimpse of the wonderful animations included - but please do demo the item for yourself so that you get the full effect!
I'm struggling to keep up with the awesome that Dappa is producing lately! It continues to warm my heart that brands I love who are still supporting me after a long time, manage to push their way into mainstream events one by one. There's no doubt in my mind that Dappa is entirely deserving of his current status, and he is always among the first tattoo brand that I will recommend to anyone looking for new art, not just because he's kind enough to allow me to review his items, but because the quality is always absolutely spot on.
