The idea for this picture came from a photo that Clara posted on Facebook. You can find the original version >Here<. I often collect Clara's posts, because they're either visually inspiring or uh, lyrically inspiring? I'm not wordy enough today!
I'm still exhausted, although I feel a billion times better than yesterday, so my hopes are high! I thought I might be coming down with a virus, but maybe I just skirted that, fingers crossed, eh?
I've had a preeetty busy day today, and although I'm achy and sore, I'm incredibly grateful to just be here to share silly little SecondLife things with you.
I've been working on a vlog, at this moment in time, my editing program is behaving like a complete butthole and I'm struggling immensely!
I'm thoroughly enjoying the whole vlog thing, as it's definitely pushing my levels of personal comfort and feeling a bit like a derp when I talk... and although my editing is basic at best, I'm enjoying learning more each time I try.

- Update... for whatever reason, my video editing program was completely ridiculous. After 6 hours attempting to be patient with the lag it was experiencing yesterday, and going to bed annoyed (i like to keep to my self-made deadlines) I decided to attempt a brand new program. Currently, it's worked out pretty well as I've completed the vlog! \o/ Please excuse the animal noises in the background, I shoulda moved from the ground to a platform - and my ground is LITERALLY a farm!
The Revoul skin shown today is available in 5 tones, my favourite (shown in the main pictures and vlog) is the RE25 tone! ♥
This scene was a little bit of a challenge for me, but ultimately I'm super happy with the outcome!
I really enjoy attempting to pull everything together coherently, while attempting to give a little visual story to go along with it. It's definitely a work in progress (as is my photography process in general!) and I'm thoroughly enjoying learning new things and trying new angles!

Today I'm showcasing some more items from Enchantment. It might seem a little bizarre to be a nudey-pants while depicting an event aimed at fairytales, but the Grimm fairytales were never aimed at children and were in fact converted over time to appeal to kids.
Anywho, the idea behind the picture is to try and show how I feel a lot of the time as an adult. The clock represents the ticking of time, as I become older, I'm reminded that our time here is short. I don't mean that in a morbid way at all, but rather that we often spend our time focusing on the wrong things, worrying about how others are living their lives and not concentrating on doing the best for us. It's supposed represent a bit of a dream-like state, the position Pickle is in (which is almost a fetal position) signifies the fact that often, I really don't feel like I'm adulting to a respectable level. Most days, it's actually hard to even drag myself out of bed, and so I tend to celebrate the fact I managed to do just that by patting myself on the back and neglecting other things I just know I -should- do.
Of course, there's the undertones of storybooks and fairytales, most of which I will make grabby hands at to cling to because although my body is constantly in flux and the wrinkles are getting deeper, my mind is still fixed in my twenties or even below, with some minor adjustments and understandings I wish I'd had back then.
Once more, I'm not entirely sure this description makes any sense. I just know that there are times we need to just stop and attempt to make things work, our way.
I think that's what we all try to do daily. Be kind to each other, please. There really isn't enough love showcased in the world, and if you can't see it - be it. ♥
HUZZAH! It's time for another round of Enchantment!
The event opens today at midday SLT and the theme of this round is "Brothers Grimm", which is practically open season for anything ever mentioned in one of their freaky stories! I had to start with this cute little goat outfit. Anyone who follows me on facebook might be aware of the immense level of squeals I achieve whenever a goat is posted on my timeline. I am also a bit of a crazy goat lady, and will definitely share those adorable videos of little goats in onesies, or dressed up for seasonal thangs. I just can't get enough of the adorable furry babies, and want to hug them all up. Needless to say it seemed absolutely appropriate that I become an Enchanted Goat, happily playing my flute and wiggling my goat-y tail to the sound of my (probably rather rubbish but hopefully) pretty tuneage.
I've paired the outfit with a delicious skin from Lumae, and as usual, you can see some of the options available with this gorgeous skin below, all taken in calWL windlight on firestorm.

Absolutely LOVE how this photo came out, and just as well, too, because it took me bloody ages to capture!
I also tried some new things with the ripple detailing. Every time I do a picture involving water, I like to add a little something new, and I'm thrilled with this one! Now I just need to work out how to get droplets on my skin... *flails wildly*
As soon as Dappa dropped this delicate leg tattoo, I KNEW I needed it in my inventory, and when Moss&Mink popped this cage into the blogotex, I squee'd and immediately knew this was what I wanted to do, however, sometimes having a plan in your head doesn't necessarily correlate to in-world.
ANYWAY. I'm super happy with the results, so excuse me while I squee more!
The basis of this picture for me was the premise of D/s and the "Caging of a free-bird".
In this case, I'm the bird.
I hope that the picture shows that I am at peace, the flowing hair is just from a soft breeze, which of course makes the feathers fall around me, again, symbolizing serenity.
You can barely make out that I wear a chastity set from Meva, which includes a collar. My pose is relaxed and cushions are included in my cage, to add an extra element of comfort.
The gorgeous cage itself remains open, although by rights I am a caged bird, the choice to remain caged is mine, and I can leave at any time.
Lastly, I am alone. Even though the person responsible for caging me is not physically in the picture, I again remain inside my cage, awaiting their return.
I'm not sure i've explained this with enough gravity, but ultimately, in any healthy relationship your choices should remain yours. Whether you identify as a submissive, Dominant, switch, or something completely vanilla, if you're in a place of comfort, able to discuss issues and talk them through, and decide what does and doesn't work for you and your partner/s, I feel it's a case of live and let live.
I can't do this cage justice, no matter how I photograph it. I am officially shook, I love this so much.
Please note, the cushions & lights etc are not part of the cage, but they make it look pretty and comfortable, so I kept them. Also, there are adult poses & singles included within the cage - make sure you check all the things out, because trust me, you need this in your life! ♥
Boy am I glad to be back on the CandyDoll train! Expect an influx of their amazing content over the next few days/weeks, because they really are one of my favourite secondlife brands for clothing & shoes. Their textures are soo good and their fits are just perfect! Also, *most* of the time they make items for almost all the popular bodies - make sure you check the advertisements to be 100% certain, though.
I've been favoring my Belleza Freya body for a little while, and it's always lovely when a creator I love makes an item that is almost a perfect fit. Of course, there will always be little pieces you need to alpha out on the hud, but I really can't argue with that - I mean, what's the point of having an alpha hud if you never use it? :P
There's a mix and match of old & new in my post today, hopefully all the items are all available still, but if not I'm almost 100% certain there are more 'modern' alternatives. I have about 23423423563092 unicorn things in my inventory, so they can't be too difficult to find either on marketplace if they're gachas, or in other mainstores if they're no longer there. I'd like to think that my outfits are used as inspiration, rather than copied in completeness, but however you choose to use the looks I present to you, I'm grateful for your readership <3
