Today I'm showcasing the beautiful FKA skin from Revoul.

I knew it was a homage to the artist FKA Twigs, but honestly, I wasn't entirely sure who this person was. I've since watched a few of her music videos, listened to her music and done a little bit of research on her, and it turns out that not only is this amazingly talented woman a genre of her own, but she's also a bloody Brit! Go-on, Love! Also, can we just take a minute to admire the completely gorgeous hair styles she sports? Kthnx.

The inspiration behind the look today was based on FKA Twigs "Two Weeks" Music Video, which you can see right at the bottom of this post!

It's Friday! YAY!

Honestly, I don't know why I'm so excited, the weekend for me just means more time sitting on my butt being anxious af!

So, I know I might squeal a little bit about Moss&Mink like, forever, but with today's post I wanted to try something a little different with Cielo's items, and it all boils down to the 20 colour/pattern hud that she's been working on forever. The hud is now universal, and has been for a little while - i'm just late to the party in terms of talking about it *cough*. The idea is that now, no matter what item you have rezzed out, you can use your universal hud (if it's compatible, and she's working backwards to make sure the majority of her store is up-to-date), to match the colour or pattern you want. That means if you have say.. the Bailey Bed, the Monique Vanity and the Shell Chair in your bedroom, you can click slide your mouse over each item, activating the universal hud and then change all of those items to match. When you're done, you just click slide your mouse off the product and WHAM you've got an entire room of matching furniture at minimal effort. Of course, you don't have to match, that's the beauty of Moss&Mink items! Even when they don't match, they sort of do.. so really it's leaving your creativity to run riot and make a home for yourself exactly the way you want to.

With today's post, I wanted to show a little that it's not just 'cute' furniture that can be pink. I mean, sure... who doesn't love a lil pink moment? But look... LOOK how bad ass Pickle is today... and Moss&Mink STILL manages to come through!

Today isn't a good day in the world of Pickle.

I'm not entirely sure why, I just feel like I woke up with a case of The Moodies, and they've been impossible to shift.

How do I combat The Moodies? Well, firstly I take pretty pink and girly pictures featuring three of my favourite SL brands, Moss&Mink (The skybox, which you really need to see in world, because I've only shown a teeny tiny portion!), CandyDoll with the dress and boots (can you say adorbs?) and Essences for the lush skin that adorns my bootilicious body.

Secondly, I make changes.

Today this meant cleaning out my SL friends list. I like to keep my list around 100 people - that includes my alts (of which there are plenty, *cough*), my friends alts, and the occasional new person who pops their head in and has potential to become a friend too. 

Just because I remove people from said list, doesn't mean I won't be friendly. I'm picky, and weird, and not for everybody. 

Once again, I'll clear up that I LOVE taking pictures and having this blog. I LOVE the friends I have, and the good people I meet in SL, but it is becoming noticeably obvious to me that the friends I have are scattering (and rightly so) because of RL, and meeting new people without an agenda is either becoming more difficult because of the quality of people in SL, or because my mind has been so skewed by prior interactions, I just automatically place a negative on every new person I meet, and honestly, I'm not sure which is scarier.

Despite my mood, I know that this will pass. I know I'm adjusting.

Tomorrow is another day and I'm hoping that I wake up grinning, and ready to tackle everything with positivity again.

I'm visualizing here. It's a technique I've picked up from my hours of netflixing, youtubing and generally attempting to think positively about life.

The idea of visualizing is seeing yourself in the future, doing the thing you love. Having the relationships you want. Finding the contentment you long for.

 Although I'm not heavily into D/s I do believe in a lot of the values that come along with it.. and believe that there are certain things that should be discussed before taking any sort of relationship to a next level. 

Honesty. Respect. Consent. Loyalty. Commitment.

Those are just five words we often throw around without much thought, and without thinking through the consequences. Much like D/s those words mean different things to different people, and it's important to understand where your partner is coming from when you're making decisions.

So often, I see facebook posts from people who have thrown themselves into new relationships and have opened themselves up too quickly, backing down on what they want because someone has shown them a form of affection that they might be able to understand and identify. So many times I watch as the same patterns emerge - patterns that my own relationships have mirrored - and it breaks my heart that the people involved - beautiful people, capable and worthy of love and loving, are hurt because they haven't taken the time to really get to know the person they coupled with.

So, my Pickle-ism for the day is take your time.

Hopefully, I'll take my own advice next time, too.

I suppose I was feeling some type of Hugh Hefner (RIP), Playboy bunny vibe for this post, and I'm not 100% sure why, but like most things, I just went with it and I'm well happy with how this turned out!

I'm still not at 100% Pickle Power yet, but I did manage to eat something today so that's nice. Sitting up is still uncomfortable, but it's far better than lying in bed feeling sorry for myself, especially since my laptop went fffffff and I now can't even netflix in bed! *Flails dramatically*

Yesterday we had an erotic story time at Consent. I was a little apprehensive, because I hadn't actually spoken to the lady in world on voice, and my initial thought was "Crap, what if she sounds like she's lost all her teeth, run a marathon and smokes 90 a day?" I know. I'm awful. But in reading erotica, these things are important. Anyway, Shay showed up, and absolutely knocked me off my stool. Not only does she have a stunning voice, but she's clearly educated and her stories weren't run of the mill, "He put it in me and I orgasmed" type stories. There was also a degree of learning as I discovered Walt Whitman was in fact a bit of a literotica writer, so I'm super psyched for the next time she decides to host something!

Back to some FGC Goodies!

This outfit was kind of odd which naturally means I absolutely love it, the colours are very vivid, though! I feel a bit like a rainbow Viking. I'm going to come steal your man and pillage your village, all while looking fabulous in my pink fur.

The past couple of days have been quite difficult, and this outfit, this stance, and the way this image has come across is kind of how I feel today. I'm a strong woman. At times, I need to remind myself of this. One of the things that I am proud of about myself is that I am not scared to feel anymore. 

I have always been heavily led by my emotions, if i'm sad, I'll probably cry. If I'm happy, I'll probably cry. If I'm scared, there's every chance I might cry haha. I used to be incredibly ashamed of this, but I think I've finally come to terms with the fact that although I am emotional, this doesn't make me less strong. In fact, I feel like maybe it makes me stronger. I refuse to dull down those emotions to make those around me comfortable. I got told today that I "Feel too much" and I need to stop. Honestly, it made me make that weird squishy nose face and furrow my brow. Like, what? How can you feel too much? It made me incredibly defensive, and if anything just made my decision not to dim any part of me to 'fit in' much easier. I care, deeply. I love, entirely. I give freely, and you know what? I'll carry on doing all of those things because if I don't... I just wouldn't be Pickle.

I wish I could export it to RL and have had it for the week I was sick, because let's face it, when you're feeling under the weather, what's nicer than fresh, fluffy sheets, some beautiful surroundings and of course, the doggers (although they're not CandyDoll!) are another perfect addition.

I'm not entirely sure what it is but lately i've been struggling to focus. I don't have a lot going on in RL, SL is pretty much just ebbing along the way it does, yet there's a niggling thought in my head that maybe, maybe I'm forgetting something. I've even taken to writing things down physically on a notepad so I definitely don't forget anything. Maybe it's old age (AH!), or perhaps it's because i'm still recovering from being sick - and I'm almost never sick so it was probably a shock to my system.

Either way, let's hope it passes soon because this is bonkers and I'm frustrating myself!

I also decided to downgrade in terms of SL land, I had "The Platform" for the bloggy things, "The Farm" for Santi and I to relax at, and ofc, Consent for all the other things. I decided to cut down the farm land, because well, I'm barely there anyway! Plus, I just LOVE creating new scenes, so having somewhere that was always the same, although lovely, was kind of... not Pickle, and with Santi's hamster having fallen off it's wheel it's just not worth me trying to keep up with payments and stuff. Who really needs three parcels anyway?! It's just greedy!
