I heard somewhere that for every bad thing you hear about yourself, you hear 13 good things that you glaze over because you've taught yourself not to believe them, so now, whenever I hear someone who doesn't know me say something bad about me, I'll try to recall just five nice things I've heard from people who do know me.

Don't get me wrong, I know I have bad points, but let's face it, unless it's coming to you in the form of asked for constructive criticism, it's going to often appear like an attack... which will probably put the initiator on the defensive, and there's your argument start point.

I won't argue anymore. I can't. I'm too tired.

Instead, I'll internalize, and most of the time I'll come to the conclusion that when it really, really isn't me initiating the negative, it says more about them than it does me.

The Dreamy skin from Revoul will be available at 3pm today (4th March) at The Galleria. She's available in 4 tones, two shown above (my favourite for this one is RE 25!).

It's worth noting that on the RE 05 picture, I've worn eyeliner found in the genus head hud. For some reason, my eyelashes seem to be far away from my eyes... I'm not sure how to fix this, but I'll keep you posted. On paler skins, it tends to look worse, and the RE 25 tone made that slight ick unnoticeable, and no eyeliner was used there.

I tried to catch the Dragons doing some awesome things, but I'm really not that awesome, and could only manage some basic gyazo gifs. It's worth remembering that the dragons are ANIMESH, so that means you're going to need a viewer that supports that function. The SL main viewer has it, and so does the Firestorm beta - which is what I used today.

Without doubt, the majority of us will make assumptions based on a particular style someone is sporting.. but if you're anything like me, your style doesn't actually reflect how you feel inside, but more how your outside feels comfortable.

I don't often delve into D/s terms here, mostly because I feel like what you enjoy is nobodies business but yours and your partner, but it seems increasingly obvious to me that how you label yourself in regards to fetish/sex is a pretty  major conversation point within SL.

For example, when I popped these gorgeous pearls from Narcisse on I felt like I should be kneeling at a worthy somebody's feet, but I'm certain that if you were to style the top with a pair of leather pants, and some serious fuck-me-heels, you could easily pass as a more Dominant presence.

I wasn't sure what I was going to write about today, but they say when in doubt, write about what you know.

Now, I don't feel like I know much of anything, most days, but today I'd gotten to thinking about the phrase "Maturing well like a bottle of wine". Mostly, this is due to my mid-life crisis that probably isn't a really a crisis, but more of an awakening (and when is mid-life anyway?).

There's a bit to this, so bear with me while I attempt to put a Pickle perspective on this.

My nickname "Pickle" comes from a very innocuous, semi flirty roleplay scenario I had with a guy years ago. He pulled out a sandwich from his pants (don't act like you haven't had weird conversations, we all know you have), and claimed to have a soggy pickle in it. Somehow, that went from "Ew!" to "That'd make a really awesome name for you!" and tadaa, it stuck, and 4/5 years later, Pickle still exists. 

Back to the wine : I was wondering why it was that wine was considered a good analogy for maturing well, so being curious, I had a peek at the process, which I still don't fully understand. However, there was mention of vinegar in that information, because sometimes, wine goes beyond wine and turns. From the little I understand about the process, this is due to some acidic presence. At this point, my Pickle-senses are tingling, because HELLO. I'm PICKLE. How do pickles get to be pickled? VINEGAR. Therefore, I have henceforth decided I have gone beyond maturing well like wine, and have instead started to soak up the vinegar of life which has made me the fabulous Pickle that you now know and love (hopefully!), and let's face it, if you can make it past the slightly acidic taste I put in your mouth, I reckon I can be a great addition to a lot of uh.. dishes? Situations? Eh. You get it right? RIGHT?

Well aware that I might have completely lost my marbles today, but I totally love this reason as to why I am Pickle. It just took me a while to put it together!
