Okay Spoonies, so I know I had a total melt down a couple of days ago and basically spewed a bit of hate about how so unfair it is that recognition in blogging does not always equate to talent, but some delusional idea of 'fame', HOWEVER, I may have had an epiphany... and this is why I love blogging, because I get to share it with you.

I've spoken before about how my daughter lives with my parents, you may have to dig a little deeply to find that, but the full post is within this here blog, and I attribute that fact to me now being able to move on in a much healthier direction. 

Today my daughter called me absolutely distraught. We've had issues getting her to go to school on a regular basis, and today was one of those days. As punishment for her refusal to go, Grandad took away the internet, and she was sad about it because, like most 16 year olds, she likes to spend her days playing games with her online friends.

As I was trying to calm her and explain that when you're good, good things happen, and when you're bad you're punished, I suddenly realized this wasn't entirely true. So there I am, stumbling over my words and trying to explain that to my daughter, when it only just sunk in for me.

Don't misunderstand, I KNEW life wasn't fair. It just didn't sink in that one day I might have to explain that to someone else, nor that I'd make a bit of a twat of myself by expressing the very same sentiment in that one post we're never going to speak of again!

The Dreamy skin from Revoul will be available at 3pm today (4th March) at The Galleria. She's available in 4 tones, two shown above (my favourite for this one is RE 25!).

It's worth noting that on the RE 05 picture, I've worn eyeliner found in the genus head hud. For some reason, my eyelashes seem to be far away from my eyes... I'm not sure how to fix this, but I'll keep you posted. On paler skins, it tends to look worse, and the RE 25 tone made that slight ick unnoticeable, and no eyeliner was used there.

I'm joined today by a super special guest, Cielo Capalini. She owns and creates for the Moss&Mink brand, but more importantly, she's one of my very best friends!

Our meeting was... awkward. Giving both of our personalities, I think that awkward was really the only way it could go... but it turned out for the best. It was a while ago now, blogging was still new to me, and Moss&Mink had only participated in one of the Fantasy Gacha events, but Cielo had made a gorgeous set revolving around faun legs, and I was so excited to blog it when I got it, it really had made me incredibly happy, and when she wandered into the sim I was standing on, said hello and I realized who she was, I'm almost ashamed to say I fan girled all over. It was NOT my finest moment. I am SO glad we met, though, and despite my literally epic squealing fit in her IMs, she saw past that, and we have grown together.

I'm always amazed at how she comes up with ideas, and how she will literally transform something into her practically trademarked style, She seems to be an unending, magical bucket of creativity, every time you reach in to take an idea, that bucket fills up again and she's off running and lightspeed with her beautiful brain exploding colours and meshes all over the place.

The thing I admire most of all about this gorgeous lady, however, is her never-ending willingness to learn. When she starts talking about what she wants to do next, where she wants her brand to be... sometimes it takes my breath away a little and I am honestly in awe.

Anyway, she's my friend and you can't have her (i'm kidding, kinda), and that's that.

Not sure what's wrong with me today but I actually started setting this scene up before I went to bed last night, and now it's almost ridiculous o'clock and I've been doing this all day (I mean, I did also watch some random Ashton Kutcher film, and uh, cheese toastie my life away and stuffs, but yanno. Priorities). Also, stole Apple to be my obligatory blurred person who's really a person and not a mesh person who is also wearing a tarty dress so it doesn't look like i'm overdressed in the old persons club house pub. *breathes out*

Adam and I were having a little chat the other day, and while we talked we reminisced about our days at school. It reminded me of a time when I was about 11 or so. I was bought up fairly strictly. I was the first child of three, so I was paving the way for my brothers, and I tested my poor Mum and Dad regularly. On this particular occasion I had been invited to a friends house. My friends Mum was far more liberal than my own, and before dinner we were shoo-ed out of the house and told to go to the park across the road for half an hour to give her some peace and quiet, something I'd never be allowed to do if I was at home. Once we'd got to the park, we were greeted by several people from school - the cool kids.

Now, I've never been a cool kid. I can't even pretend to be remotely cool. I'm too emotional, I laugh too loudly and at my own jokes, even when they're not funny. I've never worn the right clothes or had the right haircut to fit into that particular clique, and for the most part, I was okay with that. However, seeing how accepting they were of me that day, I was eager to impress.

"Let's play a game of tag!" << That was Ross, the cutest boy in my class. And the meanest.

Naturally everyone agreed.

Quickly, rules were put into place. "We're gonna leg it from this wall, to that slide and then back again!" << Ross. Ugh. I hated that I liked him.

But seriously, what the fudge did 'Leg it' mean? I had absolutely no clue! I had never heard this term. My parents were older than most, even then, and no one I had ever been around had used 'Leg it' in a sentence. I wracked my brain for an idea, and finally, just as everyone had lined up, I'd decided I knew exactly what it was.

"Three, two, one, GO!"

Ahh fuck.

So they all start running, and there I am, 11 year old Pickle... HOPPING.

I've made no secret of the fact that I have been under the weather lately, and while I am almost 100% convinced this is completely an anxiety thing, it's come to a point where I'm absolutely going to have to get it sorted... so first thing tomorrow (today?) I'm going to pop to the hospital and get myself fixed.

It always sounds a little dramatic when someone says "I'm going to hospital!" and I really hope that's not the case here. I'm pretty sure I'm over-reacting, but on the off-chance I'm not, I'm throwing it out there that I may (or may not) be gone for a little while... and that for me means completely radio silent (unless I bite the bullet and buy a freakin' new laptop), because I really don't do mobile phones or ipads or any fancy things. So now you all know, and I really hope it's not as dramatic as it sounds haha.

Today my eyeballs just won't stay open, I'm sure we've all been there!

One of the things I love about blogging is the fact that it pushes me into wandering around SL to find new places. I stumbled upon today's location simply by searching "autumn", and boy am I glad I did.

Like many of you, I'm a bit of a (woefully awful) gacha gobbler, and will happily throw bunches of L's into a machine in an attempt to get a bargain. A lot of the time I will curse myself for putting my pennies into the machine and not just checking marketplace, but the temptation is just too much for me. Anyhow, when I saw this bagel cart, I automatically associated it with coffee (which is a necessity) and breakfast, and with hopeful excitement, the thought of waking up. Pairing it with this gacha treasure of bagel bag and bagel, it made the perfect scene.

I wanted to go for a casual look today. I know it's coming up to Halloween (how could I miss that??), but autumn/fall is my favourite season, and reminds me of one of my favourite people now missing from SL.

I'm sure we all have someone we miss, and a memory of them we'll never forget, in SL and otherwise. Mine will always centre around her love of cats (fence sitter), anything remotely sparkly or with chimes, and the autumn and winter seasons. I remember laughing a lot, crying a lot, venting a TON and generally sitting and enjoying her company. We became terrible people together, and embraced that until we felt good again. Pulled together by a negative entity, and pushed away in a similar fashion. She was there for some of my lowest points, and losing her was definitely THE lowest point in my entire SL.

Wherever you are, old friend, I hope you're well.

Again I am reminded of how incredibly lucky I am to be surrounded by such bright beacons of light. 

There's a party later and I'm actually looking forward to it.
