With each round, the event creators design a brand new set-up around the theme of the event so this time you can guarantee it's going to be a super spooky experience!
In this picture, Pickle has been the subject of many experiments, which lead her to having an unknown head attached to her neck. Luckily, her and the head (We'll call him Bob) have become fairly good friends and have meticulously planned their escape. The skeletons around the room are the experimental failures, and I like to think that the stance she's in indicates that the doctor who made her this way is in for a rough time when he opens the door next. because she's not gonna go down without a fight!

Can you tell who someone is from the look of their avatar?
Without doubt, the majority of us will make assumptions based on a particular style someone is sporting.. but if you're anything like me, your style doesn't actually reflect how you feel inside, but more how your outside feels comfortable.
I don't often delve into D/s terms here, mostly because I feel like what you enjoy is nobodies business but yours and your partner, but it seems increasingly obvious to me that how you label yourself in regards to fetish/sex is a pretty major conversation point within SL.
For example, when I popped these gorgeous pearls from Narcisse on I felt like I should be kneeling at a worthy somebody's feet, but I'm certain that if you were to style the top with a pair of leather pants, and some serious fuck-me-heels, you could easily pass as a more Dominant presence.
I hope you're not offended by the spattering of foof and nipnops today, I'm always concerned that it's going to be overkill on the nudity!

This is a bit of a different look, even by my standards. I've always looked at the cute pastel goth girls within SL and adored the style, but I've never been fully able to grasp how to pull it off.
Today, I feel like I might have actually done it.
Some of the people I know are completely amazing, and I feel like as I continue my journey of self-enlightenment (lol?), I'm encountering aspects of these people that may never have unfolded before.
The last couple of days my spoons have been plentiful. I have been throwing them around willy nilly (I LOVE THAT SAYING!) and have had actual in-depth conversations with people that I love, which totally fill my heart with all the happy feels and things.
Anwaaay. One of these people (and he's "awesome" so he'll know who he is), have set me a challenge. I'm pretty well known for having the mouth of a sailor. No, it's not salty or always doused in rum, but I do have a tendency to swear. I curse when I'm sad. I curse when I'm happy. I curse when I'm excited. There is no situation where my cursing is left by the wayside... I am uncouth. Knowing what I'm going through in great detail, Adam (DAMNIT! Now he's gonna think I care about him or something!) suggested I attempt to change my language in a effort to think more positively.
So that's what I'm gonna do. Even IF I fail miserably and end up effing and blinding, I think that the potential for change is HUGE! Not only will it improve my language, but losing the negative context of those curse words might help to bring on a more positive mindset.
Whether you agree with the nonsense I've just written or not, I want you to bear in mind that it's an experiment for personal betterment, and regardless of the results, that in itself is something I think I deserve to be proud of.

I was lucky enough to be involved with Cielo's creative process on this set, I listened as she came up with idea's on the fly and am secretly jealous of her amazingly imaginative brain. She's a creator who will actively listen to her customer base, she'll interact and ask for opinions and will try her hardest to apply many of the suggestions she receives in updates and upcoming releases. I cannot sing her praises enough - and yes, I'm biased, because she is one of my best friends.
Dappa! I legit dragged my alt, Paloma, back into this picture specifically to show off two Dappa tattoos and this is down to the fact that the speed at which they are being produced - seriously, he's KILLING it! Not only are Dappa becoming far more prolific in terms of events, but the quality he is producing is actually improving, every time.
Of course, the pose is from Reve Obscura. I sincerely believe that he is one of the very best bento pose makers in SL. I rarely need to adjust anything to 'fit' (I did unlink the poses here and give them a wiggle, but I think that's down to the fact that both Paloma and Pickle are thicker avatars.) For many poses, I will use animare to yank out a hand from my stomach/leg/other random body part. I can't imagine how hard it is to develop these poses for every body-type, but R.O has always come through for me!
Epiphany opens today at 10pm SLT, and I for one am super excited, as a few of my favourite stores will be participating!
Of course, Miss Chelsea is one of those stores, and they've provided this super cute outfit - from hairband to shoes, and a few extra pieces in between.
I paired that with this Dappa tattoo, because the delicacy appealed to me in terms of boho-ness.

Adam and I were having a little chat the other day, and while we talked we reminisced about our days at school. It reminded me of a time when I was about 11 or so. I was bought up fairly strictly. I was the first child of three, so I was paving the way for my brothers, and I tested my poor Mum and Dad regularly. On this particular occasion I had been invited to a friends house. My friends Mum was far more liberal than my own, and before dinner we were shoo-ed out of the house and told to go to the park across the road for half an hour to give her some peace and quiet, something I'd never be allowed to do if I was at home. Once we'd got to the park, we were greeted by several people from school - the cool kids.
Now, I've never been a cool kid. I can't even pretend to be remotely cool. I'm too emotional, I laugh too loudly and at my own jokes, even when they're not funny. I've never worn the right clothes or had the right haircut to fit into that particular clique, and for the most part, I was okay with that. However, seeing how accepting they were of me that day, I was eager to impress.
"Let's play a game of tag!" << That was Ross, the cutest boy in my class. And the meanest.
Naturally everyone agreed.
Quickly, rules were put into place. "We're gonna leg it from this wall, to that slide and then back again!" << Ross. Ugh. I hated that I liked him.
But seriously, what the fudge did 'Leg it' mean? I had absolutely no clue! I had never heard this term. My parents were older than most, even then, and no one I had ever been around had used 'Leg it' in a sentence. I wracked my brain for an idea, and finally, just as everyone had lined up, I'd decided I knew exactly what it was.
"Three, two, one, GO!"
Ahh fuck.
So they all start running, and there I am, 11 year old Pickle... HOPPING.

I've always believed that when you apply stress to a situation it has two probable outcomes.
1. You apply the pressure slow enough, and with a steady enough hand and it actually improves the results, ending in you learning from your experiment and giving you a positive result.
2. Due to carelessness or impatience, you overload the situation causing a negative response and thus rendering your experiment a failure.
I understand this is probably fairly cryptic, but there's legitimately so much going on right now that this faux situation makes complete sense to me for several issues that i'm currently addressing.
Sometimes, life can feel like you're standing at the bottom of a giant trash mountain holding nothing but a plastic spork, when really what you need is a JCB and the team from "Hoarders".
My only option is to take one day at a time, laugh at the mistakes and the occasional rubbish bag that rolls down the mountain, and keep my chin up, because finally I can see the sunrise behind that mountain of shite.
Also, as a side note; while I consider myself a little bit of a warrior for a better understanding of mental health, and less stigmatizing, I truly believe those of us who suffer from issues need to take responsibility for ourselves sometimes too. I know from experience this is incredibly hard, it takes introspection and a certain amount of self-examination, plus the ability to be completely honest with yourself. However, behaving like a shitty person cannot be blamed on your mental health, because despite your issues, the majority of the time your decisions aren't based on your mental health, but on your personality. If you continually make shitty decisions, and they negatively affect those around you but you choose not to do anything about you, that doesn't just mean you're 'mental' and you cannot keep blaming your 'issues' for them... instead, you need to take responsibility for yourself and understand you are being a terrible person and make the changes necessary to improve that. Only YOU can do that.
Apparently in this photograph, I'm smoking a joint. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-weed.. I hear a bunch of stories every day about how it helps settle people's moods and yanno, other things... and if that's the case, even if it's just a fancy placebo effect then I'm all for it.
In SL, I find cigarettes and joints can make fun RP attachments. However, in RL I haven't touched a cigarette for three years, and there hasn't been a trace of weed for a REALLY long time.
When I was about 18-19, I had a really cute boyfriend. I guess he was my first love, and we went through a lot of things together over the year we were together - as you do when you're 18-19. I mean, you're still growing, everything is dramatic. You have a small argument and it feels like the world is ending and your soul is splitting.
The reason I bring him up is because he and I experimented with weed together. A mutual friend of ours used to "deliver" weed, and occasionally, he would drop by my boyfriends house and we'd smoke some 'left overs' with him. Some of my best memories with that first love of mine include sitting on his mothers couch (she was super liberal and would often join us for a smoke), sharing some weed, giggling ridiculously together and then taking crazy road trips to find snacks.
Most of the time, however, I would be asleep for the field trips... I had the habit of being a giggler and then falling asleep because I just can't hold anything - weed or alcohol. Both make me super emotional in some way and then I just pass out. On the couch. Which meant I would wake up with the English equivalent of cheeto's stuffed in my shirt, or bacon strips on my face - and one time - half an eyebrow....
I'm still reeling from the post I made about my daughter. It's been an emotional couple of days for me, but I feel oddly stronger because of it. I'm hoping that maybe having experienced an absolutely stunning amount of support that it might have changed something in my head. I always thought that if I told my story people wouldn't get it. That i'd be subjected to more abusive behaviour. I can't tell you how grateful I am for the outpouring of positivity you have all shown me. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
