This one has been a bit of a labor of love, as I've kind of been toying with this picture for about 6 hours. I mean, that's on and off... with short bursts of SL shopping and RL interruptions (girl's gotta eat, yanno.)

So I've done another vlog type whatsit today about the Shook Baddie Claws I mentioned a couple of blogs back. I'm going to try and do one vlog a week, hopefully in conjunction with a blog, but we'll see how that actually goes, because it's far more stressful than I want to admit!
For today, that means I've done the picture above, but I'm referencing items involved in the vlog too, so you get tons of information instead of just some!
I often forget about the Lelutka heads, but then I put one on and suddenly, it brings back how much I abso-freaking-lutley adore them. Every single head I've purchased from them (and I now have at least five) has bought something new.. no matter how small, and each time they up their game I'm at a loss for words. Needless to say when I saw the new Go&See skin specifically for the new brand of Lelutka heads, I made big ol' grabby hands for it!
I also decided to do the Slink body with the petite add-on for mah bewbies. I LOVE playing with (myself? LOL) my avatar, creating shapes that I believe to be fairly realistic.. and the petite add-on for the Slink helps me achieve that as I was never keen on the way the hourglass body breasts protruded.. but I am a huge fan of this shape. It's fair to say this was inspired not only by the new Go&See skin, but also Muggleborn, who go above and beyond to rig for bodies and augments that not every creator manages to include.
I probably don't say this enough, but I am SO amazingly grateful for all the beautiful brands that trust me with their creations, without their items, I'm almost certain my creativity would have been stunted as often I need a little push!

I am so freakin' proud of this picture. Once I found out that the theme behind this lingerie set was Burlesque, I immediately knew I wanted to do something fun and feisty, and stumbling across this pose just made me squeal with all the happy.
I had a really, really vivid dream last night. It was so detailed and so much like a movie, that when I was woken up by my alarm (yes, it's Sunday, but fudge, I'm trying to be normal!), I knew how it should have ended. I knew the characters backstories. I knew how they'd gotten to the point I was at when I was disturbed.
It floored me a little, and I remember reading about Stephen King, who is meant to write about his nightmares and a part of me wondered if I should be doing the same.
This wasn't a nightmare, but there were parts that could have been horror/thriller.
I'm considering trying to take an SL Picture to encompass my dream, and maybe I'll tell you more about it in the future. In the meantime, have some pretties from Miss Chelsea, Breathe & Dappa.
I've already had to deal with some unpleasant business this morning... twice.
I really need to learn to keep my mouth shut and just move on quietly, but that's just not me - yet.

I knowwwww, I keep changing my pictures at the moment, but I definitely feel like I'm getting somewhere! This is still a CAIWL picture in ultra, on firestorm. I haven't edited the avatar, but I have edited the background a smidge. I wanted you to see the Veechi Eyeshadow in a clearer context - and it's bootifuls!
I think I've touched briefly on how difficult it can be as a blogger to 'compete' with the other talent out there at the moment, and sometimes while I'm busy complaining and feeling sorry for myself over another rejection, I forget how extraordinarily lucky I am, and how grateful I should be for the creations my 'sponsors' are generous enough to gift me - and all to allow me to continue taking some photographs of myself.
I'm a bit of a stubborn and proud person. Daily, I try and work on that but old habits die hard. I don't apply to stores just because I want free things. I apply to stores because their creativity inspires mine. The "free" things are nice, but in the grand scheme of things, I'm probably only going to wear them/use them once or twice because being a blogger means that at least every day (usually more, because I have far too much free time!) I change my outfit.
This is massive for me, because for the last three years, blogging has been my hobby and that turned into a passion. I absolutely love taking someone else's creative work (with their permission of course!) and twisting that into a story that - although I may be the only one to see it - makes sense to me and despite not being successful with every new application I make, my aspirations for my blog and photography are bigger than they have ever been, and I will continue to strive for better photography, better commentary and a better Pickle to bring them all together.

I have never been someone who felt like they needed to be friends with everyone, all the time.
As I grow older, it seems as though I might be taking that a little too seriously. I'm not friends with everyone, at all. In fact, my patience wears so thin, that often I'm not even friends with the people who think they're friends with me.
I suck at reaching out. I'm absolutely crap at small talk. I struggle to maintain surface level 'friendships' and when I feel overwhelmed, I will retreat and curl up in a ball barely speaking until I can see clearly again.
I have a habit of making ridiculous assumptions that my brain claws at and makes up reasons why they're correct rather than just letting them go, and I get frustrated, because who actually WANTS to be a loner unless they're content in their own unhappiness?
I'm awkward and say the wrong thing at the wrong time. I over-think literally everything and I remove people from my life without giving them the chance to put up a fight, and then expect them to put up a fight! I'm an absolute freakin' nightmare!
However, if you can hold on through all my negatives, through all the ridiculous rantings and unnecessary judgments and occasional irrational situations... you might just find the best friend you ever had. I am loyal. I am honest - brutally so. I'm pretty funny, I can spin a negative into a positive in the blink of an eye and I can make something out of nothing like a magician... if you need the shirt off my back - it's yours, without question and I will never intentionally ignore you unless I need to sort my own thoughts out.
Relationships are a minefield, and I strongly believe that just because you're 'bad juju' to one, you're another's perfection. It's all about fitting personalities together and listening to your gut - my gut just tends to be a tad more sensitive!
I do intend on working on acceptance, and even if I remain in the position I'm in now, I know I have the strength to understand that perceptions differ depending on personal situations.
So, about this spell - anyone wanna give it a go?

I'm still reeling from the post I made about my daughter. It's been an emotional couple of days for me, but I feel oddly stronger because of it. I'm hoping that maybe having experienced an absolutely stunning amount of support that it might have changed something in my head. I always thought that if I told my story people wouldn't get it. That i'd be subjected to more abusive behaviour. I can't tell you how grateful I am for the outpouring of positivity you have all shown me. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I can't think of anything I want to say more than thank you today, instead... keep scrolling down to find out where all the items in this picture are from. This is my celebratory dance btw. I'm not proud of my behaviour - don't get me wrong. I still wish my little' un was with me... but I am feeling good about the future and I hope you are, too.
I'm pretty much the worst when it comes to doing things that I probably shouldn't.
The worst part is when you're actually doing things you shouldn't, and you know it's a terrible idea, and yet, you just can't hold yourself back.
This has been something I've struggled with for all my life, and I'm okay with that now. I know I'm potentially always going to be impulsive, so although the drive to do something absolutely ridiculous is there and will be forever, when I do something that is impulsive now I've probably over-thought it for at least three days before I give up on all the negative reasons for doing it and do it anyway with my eyes wide open.
I suppose if I can't stop the impulse itself, at least now I'm more prepared mentally for the fall out.
I'll probably be that 80 year old granny that goes skydiving.
