How easy it is to be sucked into the negative!
I heard somewhere that for every bad thing you hear about yourself, you hear 13 good things that you glaze over because you've taught yourself not to believe them, so now, whenever I hear someone who doesn't know me say something bad about me, I'll try to recall just five nice things I've heard from people who do know me.
Don't get me wrong, I know I have bad points, but let's face it, unless it's coming to you in the form of asked for constructive criticism, it's going to often appear like an attack... which will probably put the initiator on the defensive, and there's your argument start point.
I won't argue anymore. I can't. I'm too tired.
Instead, I'll internalize, and most of the time I'll come to the conclusion that when it really, really isn't me initiating the negative, it says more about them than it does me.
The tiger is from a Poseidon pose set, as part of a rare.
I seem to have rediscovered my love of the Black Dragon viewer today. I initially loaded it up remembering how smooth it was to cam around and thought maybe it would be a better option for vlogging, but when I adjusted my settings, I remembered how much I adored the crispness for photography, too.
I initially stopped using the viewer because it had become laggy and was cumbersome for me to move around on it, when I took a large picture, it would crash, and i'd have to relog and attempt to rez everything all over again, which had also become difficult. I suppose there's been a few updates since then, as it must have been 6 months or more ago that I stopped, but now everything runs far better, and nothing has changed on my end, except maybe driver updates!
Anywho, here's hoping that the curve of learning continues and my photography only excels!
I'm joined today by a super special guest, Cielo Capalini. She owns and creates for the Moss&Mink brand, but more importantly, she's one of my very best friends!
Our meeting was... awkward. Giving both of our personalities, I think that awkward was really the only way it could go... but it turned out for the best. It was a while ago now, blogging was still new to me, and Moss&Mink had only participated in one of the Fantasy Gacha events, but Cielo had made a gorgeous set revolving around faun legs, and I was so excited to blog it when I got it, it really had made me incredibly happy, and when she wandered into the sim I was standing on, said hello and I realized who she was, I'm almost ashamed to say I fan girled all over. It was NOT my finest moment. I am SO glad we met, though, and despite my literally epic squealing fit in her IMs, she saw past that, and we have grown together.
I'm always amazed at how she comes up with ideas, and how she will literally transform something into her practically trademarked style, She seems to be an unending, magical bucket of creativity, every time you reach in to take an idea, that bucket fills up again and she's off running and lightspeed with her beautiful brain exploding colours and meshes all over the place.
The thing I admire most of all about this gorgeous lady, however, is her never-ending willingness to learn. When she starts talking about what she wants to do next, where she wants her brand to be... sometimes it takes my breath away a little and I am honestly in awe.
Anyway, she's my friend and you can't have her (i'm kidding, kinda), and that's that.
Not sure what's wrong with me today but I actually started setting this scene up before I went to bed last night, and now it's almost ridiculous o'clock and I've been doing this all day (I mean, I did also watch some random Ashton Kutcher film, and uh, cheese toastie my life away and stuffs, but yanno. Priorities). Also, stole Apple to be my obligatory blurred person who's really a person and not a mesh person who is also wearing a tarty dress so it doesn't look like i'm overdressed in the old persons club house pub. *breathes out*
ANYWAY, down below you can see more tones from the gorgeous new skin from Go&See called Eva, it's available at the mainstore and is exclusively for the Genus heads, howeverrrr! If you buy it at regular price, the skin costs 900L. If you're a member of the Go&See VIP group (which costs 50L to join), you get a massive discount on the skin and it'll only cost you 99L! BUT! You have to hurry, because the group is ONLY 50L until the end of the year!
Also, more specials is this absolutely stunning dress! It comes with a multitude of colours available in the hud, and it's a freaking group gift from Miss Chelsea! The Miss Chelsea group is 100L to join, and they come up with so many gifts plus leave the old ones out, it's well worth the fee.
Happy shopping, Spoonies!

Yesterday marked the end of the Halloween month, and here I am casting spells the day after.. and why? Well, quite simply, I'm wanting all those evil spirits to disperse, maybe I need some sage...
Onwards and upwards!

It's almost September, and most of you will be aware that when September comes, so does The Arcade.
When I saw these cute little offerings for The Arcade by Hextraordinary drop in Blogotex, my brain immediately started whirring, after all who doesn't want to have a Khaleesi moment and become the Mother of Dragons??
The dragons come in three versions, Shoulder pet, Companion and Rezzable, all of which have adorable animations. There are also three lamps to pick up, the wall lamp, a table lamp and a stand-alone lamp. All of these are shown in the picture above, and let me assure you the detail is astounding.
The skin I'm wearing today is by Go&See at Blush. There are several tones, and four head applier versions available, Lelutka (shown above), Genus, Catwa & Omega. I'm using the Cola tone, and below you can see how this looks on the different heads.
This is a bit of a different look, even by my standards. I've always looked at the cute pastel goth girls within SL and adored the style, but I've never been fully able to grasp how to pull it off.
Today, I feel like I might have actually done it.
Some of the people I know are completely amazing, and I feel like as I continue my journey of self-enlightenment (lol?), I'm encountering aspects of these people that may never have unfolded before.
The last couple of days my spoons have been plentiful. I have been throwing them around willy nilly (I LOVE THAT SAYING!) and have had actual in-depth conversations with people that I love, which totally fill my heart with all the happy feels and things.
Anwaaay. One of these people (and he's "awesome" so he'll know who he is), have set me a challenge. I'm pretty well known for having the mouth of a sailor. No, it's not salty or always doused in rum, but I do have a tendency to swear. I curse when I'm sad. I curse when I'm happy. I curse when I'm excited. There is no situation where my cursing is left by the wayside... I am uncouth. Knowing what I'm going through in great detail, Adam (DAMNIT! Now he's gonna think I care about him or something!) suggested I attempt to change my language in a effort to think more positively.
So that's what I'm gonna do. Even IF I fail miserably and end up effing and blinding, I think that the potential for change is HUGE! Not only will it improve my language, but losing the negative context of those curse words might help to bring on a more positive mindset.
Whether you agree with the nonsense I've just written or not, I want you to bear in mind that it's an experiment for personal betterment, and regardless of the results, that in itself is something I think I deserve to be proud of.
Yesterday we had an erotic story time at Consent. I was a little apprehensive, because I hadn't actually spoken to the lady in world on voice, and my initial thought was "Crap, what if she sounds like she's lost all her teeth, run a marathon and smokes 90 a day?" I know. I'm awful. But in reading erotica, these things are important. Anyway, Shay showed up, and absolutely knocked me off my stool. Not only does she have a stunning voice, but she's clearly educated and her stories weren't run of the mill, "He put it in me and I orgasmed" type stories. There was also a degree of learning as I discovered Walt Whitman was in fact a bit of a literotica writer, so I'm super psyched for the next time she decides to host something!
Leading on from the erotica almost seamlessly, I want to take a moment to address RLD (Red Light District). The newest round opened on the 15th, and while you have probably seen a couple of items available already, I feel it necessary to remind you of all the details you might need to keep up to date with this wonderfully kinky event i'm lucky enough to currently blog for. The website is right >Here< and you can find everything you need to know about the event included in the easy to peruse site, whether that's the current creators and their products available in this round, applications for designers/bloggers - and there's even a special page dedicated to their bloggers! See if you can find my ever-changing face in the sea of amazingly creative photographers!
I seem to be suffering a little from writers block at the moment.
Enjoy some information about things underneath the picture below while I watch all the netflix and wonder what the fudge has happened to my half-working brain-muscle.
