I was gonna write a massive rant about flickr vs blogs today. Again.
But,
I realized I'm just a salty bitch... so you're gonna be left with this, instead.
Whatever you do, do it for love.
Some people are going to accept you. Other people aren't going to understand the importance of what you do... but so long as you aren't doing what you do to specifically to hurt others, keep doing it.
Keep on keeping on until YOU don't love it anymore.
Happy hump day!
xoxo
Note : I'm actually pretty mad at myself at the misrepresentation of the hands for the Dappa Tattoo... there ARE hand tats included - but for whatever reason, I'm a total derp and didn't notice that the "gloves" section of my maitreya body had turned off after a relog... :(
I'm kind of in love with this photo. The inspiration is obviously this beautiful hair from Tableau Vivant, available at the newly opened Crystal Heart Festival.
I have been a busy bee this weekend, and I'm exhausted - but it's been really good. Soon I will let you in on the progress I've been making, but right now, I really don't want to jinx anything, or to push myself too hard too fast into giving out details to the entire world. I mean, I could still fall flat on my face and then it would all be rather embarrassing. Still, know that I have been making an effort to move forwards rather than stagnating awkwardly, and I can't help feeling that this blog and recent posts have helped me to get to where I am now, so I'm obviously keen to continue along the route I've been going lately, for my benefit - and maybe for yours, too.
I've spoken very briefly about the Red Light District event currently going on, the new round opened on the 15th of June and once again they've bought a plethora of wonderful creators together to offer some amazing quality items all at the event.
I am going to drop the website >Here< , you can find a BUNCH of information (including my lovely picture on the blogger page - see if you can find my photo!) including designer details, pictures of products available at the event, and all the gossip about the winners of the coveted "featured designer" trophies so far! Seriously, don't miss out - I have absolutely adored covering RLD, it has been professional, original and quality since it started four rounds ago, and I'm excited to see how it develops along it's journey, and I genuinely believe that it adds realism to the over-saturated Event-Market that seems to be taking the SL world by storm. If you have a penchant for the adult side of SL, you WILL find something here for you, and regardless of my standing as a blogger for the event, I will stand by not only the management, but the quality too.

Location : Self made set that you can't really see because i'm a derp. :P
This is my second official post for The Secret Affair event. This round, the theme is "Isle of the Devil's Sea", and you can find some more information on designers and other such awesome on their website >Here<
I got a little nervous about this post, self doubt creeping in a bit as I began to convince myself that I just wouldn't be able to do the products justice, but I'm actually really happy with the way this photo came out. So happy that I'm not even going to do the regular pictures on the grey background, because I don't think anything can showcase what we have here any better than this picture.
YAY!
I'm even more proud of the watery splash-thingies at my waist, although I do think maybe a little more could have worked too - but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Whenever I "Work" an event as a blogger (I use the term work loosely, I blog and take photographs because I enjoy it, and I am incredibly aware that i'm extremely lucky to have some wonderful people who gift me with their items in return for the little pictures i take) I like to attempt to use as many items as possible to showcase said event. Sometimes that's just not possible, and you end up featuring just one item.. however, luckily for me, The Secret Affair has a glorious amount of mix-and-match items that work seamlessly together, or of course, can be used separately.
Anywho, rather than having a Pickle rant on about things and stuff, have a list of things and stuff that are still available at the event! Plus make sure you pop over there to check out the things and stuff that I haven't got to yet!
I'm hoping this photo reminds you of a modern day fairytale. That was kind of what I was going for. Maybe a Snow White or Sleeping Beauty (pre-needle to her finger), wandering contentedly through the forest in relative innocence before any bad-things occur.
I've always struggled to take photo's with softer windlights, but I'm exceedingly happy with this one. The only thing I did differently was take my time, so I guess I need to stop being impatient!
I'm not going to do a giant Pickle rant today, so I'll just stop here long enough to wish you a very happy Wednesday! Love and light!
Fishes in Bubbles : Astralia - The fish in the bubble
Location : It's a friends private home, Thank you Adam & Kristi for allowing me to bother you with my presence!
I'm lucky enough to be a blogger for the Fantasy Gacha Carnival which opens tomorrow. I fully encourage you to visit the clicky website link so that you can stay updated with ALL the things, and also check out some of the other wonderfully talented bloggers & of course the creators taking part in this round.
If you've never been to FGC, not only would I be incredibly surprised and want to shake you, but i'm going to have to insist that you go for this round!
It's an entire sim dedicated to exactly what it says - fantasy gachas. It takes place quarterly, so four times a year!
The suggested theme for this round is "Villains of the medieval ages/realms", although it's a loose theme and creators are encouraged to make anything fantasy-like, so there's bound to be an abundance of amazingly cute things, along with the slightly more dark-style items associated with traditional villains.
I have always loved FGC. I've said before, I'm not really one for roleplay.. it's just unfortunate that I'm not confident enough in my own skills to feel like I could successfully pull off any kind of characterization that isn't fundamentally Pickle based. However, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the time and the effort a lot of roleplayers take to put their outfits or scenes together in order for them to take place with accuracy. For me, FGC has always been an excuse to delve into an alternate world in my appearance, and now it's a way for me to learn more ways to express those outfits through my pictures. I'm excited and pleased to be a small part of this amazing team, and I hope you enjoy the coming posts as much as I'm certain I will enjoy putting the scenery and looks together. ♥
It's almost February, and in England, that means it's possibly colder than December, but because the holiday period is over we're about ready to slip on some springier colours, while continuing to stay warm and comfortable.
This set by Evani completely encapsulates that feeling. The sweater comes in several gorgeous colours, and you're able to chop and change the undershirt (which is linked) with the fatpack.
The pants are SO curvaceous - seriously, look at my butt & hips! Santi actually commented on how he would happily "stroke my thighs" because the material appears to be so velvety and warm, though I think he might just stroke my thighs regardless. Lucky me! They also come in two sizes, the long length shown here, and a regular ankle-length. I tried this size on with some strappy boots and they actually worked pretty well, with only minimal clipping which is another added bonus!
The Prodigy pose is actually super, super cute. Santi has an entirely different view on his blog, along with his credits. You should totally check that out, because I said so!
SL is a little busy for me right now, what with commitments I have made to friends, Consent stuffs and attempting to help the Santi with his new exciting project, so I don't have a whole bunch of things to say, except go to Whimberly! I can't believe I've never found this little gem of a place before, but it was abso-stinkin'-lutely adorable!
I have to admit I was kind of mad when lady-on-the-horse popped in and stood in the background forever and ever, but actually, she made a rather stunning little focal point, so I'm not mad anymore at all! Sometimes, it's just little details like that which make all the difference, and actually end up enhancing something, regardless of your initial idea for a picture.
Anywho, you have the landmark up there ^^ go explore! Find all the things! See all the pretties!
As soon as Dappa dropped this delicate leg tattoo, I KNEW I needed it in my inventory, and when Moss&Mink popped this cage into the blogotex, I squee'd and immediately knew this was what I wanted to do, however, sometimes having a plan in your head doesn't necessarily correlate to in-world.
ANYWAY. I'm super happy with the results, so excuse me while I squee more!
The basis of this picture for me was the premise of D/s and the "Caging of a free-bird".
In this case, I'm the bird.
I hope that the picture shows that I am at peace, the flowing hair is just from a soft breeze, which of course makes the feathers fall around me, again, symbolizing serenity.
You can barely make out that I wear a chastity set from Meva, which includes a collar. My pose is relaxed and cushions are included in my cage, to add an extra element of comfort.
The gorgeous cage itself remains open, although by rights I am a caged bird, the choice to remain caged is mine, and I can leave at any time.
Lastly, I am alone. Even though the person responsible for caging me is not physically in the picture, I again remain inside my cage, awaiting their return.
I'm not sure i've explained this with enough gravity, but ultimately, in any healthy relationship your choices should remain yours. Whether you identify as a submissive, Dominant, switch, or something completely vanilla, if you're in a place of comfort, able to discuss issues and talk them through, and decide what does and doesn't work for you and your partner/s, I feel it's a case of live and let live.
I can't do this cage justice, no matter how I photograph it. I am officially shook, I love this so much.
Please note, the cushions & lights etc are not part of the cage, but they make it look pretty and comfortable, so I kept them. Also, there are adult poses & singles included within the cage - make sure you check all the things out, because trust me, you need this in your life! ♥
