Ok, so this vid is a little weird and I think in an attempt to be edgy they might have cut corners.. but I actually kinda like the song, and the vid was just kinda.. unironically ironic and almost cool. *blinks*.
This picture got me thinking about making daisy chains as a child. I'm kinda old (shh.) so it wasn't unusual to find me in my back garden, sitting cross legged threading daisies from the grass through one another to make long flowery jewelry to adorn my head, neck and wrist, and occasionally my ankle.
That lead me to wonder how to correlate daisies to people... and as I was doing my washing up (ew!) it hit me. When I made the chains in my back garden, some of the daisies would droop while others would thrive. After a few days, I'd replace the droopy, limp flowers with fresh new ones, slotting them in to my creation without even thinking about it. Some times, I would make holes in the stems of the flower using my thumb nail and others, the daisy would be tied tight with a knot.
That is how they relate to people. Our relationships are bound by the slightest thread... the stem of our daisy. Some relationships get tied tightly with the strength of a knot, and other times, we open ourselves up to fit the needs of another. At times, our relationships wilt and we replace old friends with newer, fresher friends that fit our growth pattern.
I guess the only thing that is important in this is reminding ourselves what we want our garden to look like. Which flowers we want to pair with ours that bring the fragrance out as a beautiful medley and enhance our beauty by bringing their own special needs in to our soil. It's also important to weed regularly, because heaven knows how easy it is for someone to suck the nutrients from your roots...
Happy Tuesday, Spoonies.

The revoul skin show comes in 5 tones. My favourite being RE20, shown in my main pictures.
I'm kind of struggling to think coherently today, it's like I woke up with my head up my butt!
I even took a nap, but I woke up feeling like my head was even further lodged up there!
Anywho, as you may have noticed, I'm featuring more lovely Dappa things. I really loveeeee the colour tattoo's that are being produced at the moment and this one can be found at Limit8. There are two available at the event, and this one show is the limited edition version. I think the event opened a couple of days ago, so hopefully there's still a few copies to grab, but I haven't had the opportunity to check yet.
My theory for this picture was based around creepy dollies (Thanks, Punky! Once again, you have inadvertently inspired my spookfest!).
Imagine a pretty pink dolly, loved and adored, abandoned by the side of an old car accident... just minutes away from the main building of an abandoned Mental Asylum. She's tattered and torn, and covered in dried blood. You drive past slowly and as your headlights brighten up the morbid scene, the dolls head turns, her eyes flashing in the dark and her face contorting into a feral scowl.
Or, yanno... you could just drive past singing "baby shark" and never notice. :P
Whenever I feel like I can't people successfully, I pet.
It doesn't usually happen for long periods of time, mostly just a couple of hours, but recently, I've kind of started to absolutely adore being a puppy.
I know there's a D/s term for this nonsense, but I don't have a Dominant, nor am I looking - mostly because I have a Jake, and having a Jake (luckily with a Punky attached) has been far more successful for me than having an official Dominant!
When I'm a puppy, or a kitty, or a faun, or any other kind of animal-style-thingy-ma-bob, it's entirely probable that I'm feeling slightly more vulnerable. There doesn't have to be a particular reason for my vulnerability and often, there isn't ONE reason for it... it's a culmination of things that just make me want to retreat slightly and stand at the edge of the crowd rather than finding myself central to the action. It's my time to reflect.
Where many true Babygirls may have 'little space', I find myself to be better suited to 'pet space'. I suppose both are a bit weird if you don't understand the concept!
Oddly enough, when I feel in a 'pet' kind of mood, I also feel more creative - which leads on from what I was saying a couple of days ago. Somehow being vulnerable, or allowing myself to feel the way I need to in order to heal myself, I am far more able to feel like 'me' despite the fact that my avatar might run around with a tail and ears.
I'm a bizarre little Pickle, and ultimately, I suppose I'm just glad I'm able to have this outlet to throw out my random ventings and occasionally pretty pictures!
I'm doing this super quickly! As usual, TMD has offered up some amazeballs goodies that you can grab for your Man-Thing. I'll stress again, don't be worried about shaking things up, lads! SL is for experimenting!
Sometimes, it's easy to look at things with the wrong perspective.
I say this knowing that my journey is still a process, knowing that I'm still learning to see things with a positive eye - however, since I have been actively trying to become more positive I have definitely noticed changes.
I've also noticed an influx of people who don't want my life to excel, who are so stuck in their own misery they are incapable of wishing someone - sometimes someone they don't even know and have never spoken to - well. All it takes is a nod and a smile to be positive. You don't have to offer up words of encouragement, but keeping your negative and abuse laden comments to yourself is in itself a positive step toward thinking differently.
I can definitely be one of the most judgmental people you have met. It's taking me a butt-ton of patience with myself to re-teach my brain that this isn't appropriate. Many of us, as humans, have been through some excruciating times and been put in situations you would wish on no-one. Bob Marley is rumored to once said
“Who are you to judge the life I live?
I know I'm not perfect
-and I don't live to be-
but before you start pointing fingers...
make sure you hands are clean!”
Not one of us is perfect. We have all been broken. We are all stitched together the best way we know how, sometimes with care and love and other times with self loathing and internal anger. You know which way you have been stitched and only you can make a difference in how you see yourself. Projecting your insecurities on another does no good, you're simply spreading your negativity in a vague attempt to bring someone down to your level of misery.
Make a choice today, and decide to show love. Project hope. Give off positivity.
Also, love yourself. You really do deserve it. ♥

This is my second official post for The Secret Affair event. This round, the theme is "Isle of the Devil's Sea", and you can find some more information on designers and other such awesome on their website >Here<
I got a little nervous about this post, self doubt creeping in a bit as I began to convince myself that I just wouldn't be able to do the products justice, but I'm actually really happy with the way this photo came out. So happy that I'm not even going to do the regular pictures on the grey background, because I don't think anything can showcase what we have here any better than this picture.
YAY!
I'm even more proud of the watery splash-thingies at my waist, although I do think maybe a little more could have worked too - but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Whenever I "Work" an event as a blogger (I use the term work loosely, I blog and take photographs because I enjoy it, and I am incredibly aware that i'm extremely lucky to have some wonderful people who gift me with their items in return for the little pictures i take) I like to attempt to use as many items as possible to showcase said event. Sometimes that's just not possible, and you end up featuring just one item.. however, luckily for me, The Secret Affair has a glorious amount of mix-and-match items that work seamlessly together, or of course, can be used separately.
Anywho, rather than having a Pickle rant on about things and stuff, have a list of things and stuff that are still available at the event! Plus make sure you pop over there to check out the things and stuff that I haven't got to yet!
Can we take a minute to talk about the {moss&mink} items please? First, the {moss&mink} Magical Bookcase! Not only does it look cute as f*ck, but it also comes with one of those fancy scripts that will help keep your inventory clean, and actually store your objects safely. The {moss&mink} Teepee Hideout... I'm still squealing about this for little Pickle. It has animations for regular avatars and toddleedoos. Both items come with a texture change hud to personalize your items and/or help them match with other {moss&mink} items! So much fun! ♥
