Overthinking? Why yes. Yes I do!

I can literally overthink ANY subject. Seriously. Give me a subject!

While I don't necessarily enjoy the overthinking thing, I do definitely see some benefits. Apart from people regularly saying "You're thinking about this too much." I honestly believe that the way my thought process works is actually kind of beneficial to me.

Because of my amazing brain, I am now capable of talking myself IN to a situation I would have before avoided and vice versa.

Overthinking has granted me open-mindedness, I can see situations from many angles, and decide upon a path correct for me while considering all sides. 

The struggle I have is the stubbornness that occurs once I think I've thought about everything from all angles. See, when I've made my decision, and it's actually a decision and not just an "Okay im gonna do this for now", it is incredibly difficult for me to sway away from that, and I'll do everything within my power to stay doing what I said I was going to do. 

I'm currently overthinking this entire Pickle-rant, because it very nearly took an entirely different spin and ended up thirty paragraphs long with a detailed conclusion - so before that happens, I hope you enjoy today's Man-Pickle Monday, and allow your brain to take a breather. I was lucky enough to stumble across this gorgeous sim by Eripom Moonwall thanks to my friend Jakeb. TMD opened for a new round yesterday (5th August), and as usual, the selection of male fashion is out of this world. I'm kinda loving how man-Pickle looks today. Being blonde in SL has always been a struggle for me, moreso as a guy because of the restrictions you get on hairbases etc. It's REALLY hard to tint hairbases to blonde, but thanks to the roots on the L'etre hair shown in todays picture, I had absolutely no problem making my base brown, and still rocked the blonde!

One thing I've noticed as a guy is finding shoes and pants that fit together is almost impossible. Today, instead of wearing the Gianni fit shoes I've decided to go with the unrigged version, and edited my height accordingly. Don't be afraid to experiment with sizes, even if it's not for your  particular mesh body - because sometimes, creating an outfit that doesn't clip equals making adjustments to the way you would usually wear your outfit.

I feel like maybe Man-Pickle may have reverted to Boy-Pickle for this bloggy, but I'm kind of digging the entire look.

It's been a bit of a running joke that I could make the perfect fuckboy - and I think I might have proved that assertion correct, however, if I'm gonna be a fuckboy, I'm gonna be the best damn fuckboy SL has seen. I feel like I may have mentioned this before, but I'm going there again, just in case some of you are new or may have forgotten, but I love, love LOVE Pizza. 

I'm also one of those people who thinks that you can put anything on a pizza, and yes, that includes pineapple.

I also LOVE TMD. So often I hear "But there's nothing out there for men and girls get all the good stuff" and then I pop over to The Mens Dept and I can literally pick up items from there alone that can be used in multiple outfits, everything your man-body might need, shoes, clothes, skins, tattoo's, hairs, hairbases... and a lot of the creators are sweet enough to offer alternative fashion for female avatars too. Although you probably won't find much in the way of female Belleza/Hourglass clothing, many of the shoe designers do offer both male and female options, and what people often forget is that by allowing Maitreya into the equation, they're also creating for the femboys that use the v-tech chest add on, too.

Anywho... here's a fun thing about the Sneakers I'm wearing : they have SOCK INSERTS.

I'm making some serious heart hands over these (sorry that's not a manly expression, I absolutely suck at being a dude), because SO many times you put on a pair of sneakers as a man-avatar and they leave a huge gaping gap between the ankle and the shoe itself, and these socks are perfect! The shoes are pretty neat too!

Just a Man-Pickle Quickie today (snickers, that sounds so dirty!).

The Men's Dept opens up today at midday (TMD), and there are SO many options available this month my little heart squee'd! Yes, I know that's not very manly, but underneath this pretty-boy exterior I'm still just regular Lady-Pickle, and I really couldn't help it.

It hit me that i've never actually done a 'proper' close up of Man-Pickle, and I decided that's exactly what he needed. Luckily, this Birth skin provided the perfect base for that. I was incredibly pleasantly surprised by the skin, Birth used to be my go-to for man-skins back before the introduction of mesh heads and bodies, and for a moment I thought maybe they had dropped the ball, or perhaps even left SL (Gasp!). Thankfully, they're still going strong, and have just proved to me that some long-standing stores are still worth exploring, and you shouldn't rule them out for good! The body is actually really nice too. There's some super-sexy sinewy arm muscles, and the torso and back are pretty much shaded perfectly. The only tiny issue I have is that once you get to their darker tones, they seem to loose a certain depth of detail, but I can't imagine how difficult it is to make skins in the first place, so kudos to them for designing a palette suitable for many!

Whatever Modulus is doing with his hair he needs to continue. For reals, this one is SO perfect I nearly fell off my chair. The subtle babyhair at the front is amaze, I love that it blends so easily in with his hairbases and I can't help feeling like this is another store I have left under-rated for a while, but NO MORE! Modulus, step up and collect your Man-Pickle prize! (I don't know what it is, don't really. I'm entirely unprepared!)

I knowwwww. Technically it's still winter, and here I am taking a photo in the sunshine!

I can't be the only one who gets tired quickly of snow/winter. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful when it's first fallen, but the reality is that once I've stood in it for 5 minutes, I'm over it.

I will happily agree to be chilly rather that super-hot, but that's only because you can't peel your skin off when you're warm, but can add layers when you're too cold!

So here we are again, tanning & relaxing on a beach. I think Man-Pickle would make quite a good lifeguard - just look at the way he's keeping an eye on what's going on! In my opinion he's definitely got a bit of a head-start on David Hasselhoff... but maybe I'm biased. Also, totally showing my age!

Let's talk about throat-punching people who ask for your advice and then promptly ignore all of it!

I mean, I know I've been there, I'm pretty good at asking for opinions and then being insane enough to go "Balls to your advice!" and running off to do the opposite. Although now, I really would like to think that I will at least consider what's been said before continuing down a road that could ultimately prove maddeningly awful.

I've come to the conclusion that no matter how frustratingly annoying it is, if someone asks your advice they usually want an "Okay, do it." sort of response. If there's a negative, chances are they're going to look for a door or a gateway, or even a ladder to find some loopholes and jump over that wall you've created, to do whatever they want anyway.

I need to bear this in mind more often.
