I wanted to actually attempt a male elf today, mostly because I miss Man-Pickle (even if it is tuesday!), and also because this gorgeous outfit from Hotdog was just too stunning to pass up - although it does come in a female version!
I wanted to push the boundaries a little, and try popping some typically female hair onto Man-Pickle's noggin. I think I may have pulled it off, because in my opinion, he still looks like a dude.
That all said, go get your LOTR on, because I cannot love this theme enough!

I don't do much RL online shopping, but I decided to peruse Amazon after getting a voucher for Christmas. I'd always been interested in those funky charcoal masks, so I picked one of those up first, and then still had enough left over for something else.
I'm not sure if I've mentioned this book before, but it's called "Yes Man" and it's by a guy called Danny Wallace. He's an English dude, and the way the book is written is right up my alley. Complete sarcasm, infused with utter nonsense, with a little bit of a moral, too. Because I liked that book so much, I picked up a copy of another of his books, called "Random Acts of Kindness".
I expected this to be very similar to his previous book, but it is in fact, entirely different.
It's literally just a list of suggestions of how to make someone's day a bit better and I can't describe how much I freaking love it. There's ideas anywhere from planting a tree, to buying a tub of coleslaw for a Portuguese man called Rui, and applauding someone for making an effort.
On that note, I want to invite you to do something nice for someone today.
Doesn't have to be much, doesn't have to cost you a thing... but just do something that will make them smile, and sit back and see how it affects you, too.

I took my picture today at my friend Juniper's sim. Now at the beginning I wasn't even really looking to take a photo, I was just being a nosy Pickle, but when I wandered around a little, I found there were some absolutely fabulous nooks perfect for photographs.
I realize I haven't shown much in this picture, but that should only encourage you to go and take a look for yourself! Please remember it is a roleplay D/s & BDSM area, and it is ADULT themed. Enter with a respectful mindset and I have no doubt you'll be at home.
Once again, I'm not entirely sure I have the whole Asian thing down. However, being that it is SL and a creative platform, and that I AM completely ignorant to Asian culture, I hope you'll excuse me for being what is possibly a mish-mash of Japanese/Chinese and er, maybe even something else.
I've been spending a little more time taking the original, un-photoshopped pictures lately, and I hope that's noticeable. I'm also thoroughly enjoying learning all the LumiPro things, but at 8k it's a pretty high price to pay for what i'm currently capable of doing, which is basically just projectors. However, with that investment, you do get access to the youtube tutorials, so I'm definitely in need of watching some more of these in the not too distant future.

I've been watching the Shane Dawson youtube series on Jake Paul, and part of me wants to associate everything he's saying to 90% of SL (Sometimes, myself included!)
It's proving to be something I'm on the edge of my seat for, and I never really paid attention to the Paul Family or even "influencers" on youtube before quite recently.

SL Halloween never fails to disappoint me, and perfectly on cue, we have a myriad of creepy events already started and of course, some fabulous ones yet to open this month.
Today I'm showing the Go&See Skin available at The Dark Style Fair. It comes available in 6 Tones, Albi, Goth, Pale (Which i'm wearing), Tan, Tropic and Cola.
Below you can see a sneak peek of the face options. The bloody lips are only available in the white brows option, but you can pick up a "dropy lips" applier for any mesh head at the Dark Style Fair, which also has a bloody version included! Yay!
I'm really looking forward to this month in terms of blogging and photography - I'm not often an overly 'creepy' styled Pickle, but I do love being challenged, and I am thoroughly up for attempting to create some new looks!

Just a Man-Pickle Quickie today (snickers, that sounds so dirty!).
The Men's Dept opens up today at midday (TMD), and there are SO many options available this month my little heart squee'd! Yes, I know that's not very manly, but underneath this pretty-boy exterior I'm still just regular Lady-Pickle, and I really couldn't help it.
It hit me that i've never actually done a 'proper' close up of Man-Pickle, and I decided that's exactly what he needed. Luckily, this Birth skin provided the perfect base for that. I was incredibly pleasantly surprised by the skin, Birth used to be my go-to for man-skins back before the introduction of mesh heads and bodies, and for a moment I thought maybe they had dropped the ball, or perhaps even left SL (Gasp!). Thankfully, they're still going strong, and have just proved to me that some long-standing stores are still worth exploring, and you shouldn't rule them out for good! The body is actually really nice too. There's some super-sexy sinewy arm muscles, and the torso and back are pretty much shaded perfectly. The only tiny issue I have is that once you get to their darker tones, they seem to loose a certain depth of detail, but I can't imagine how difficult it is to make skins in the first place, so kudos to them for designing a palette suitable for many!
Whatever Modulus is doing with his hair he needs to continue. For reals, this one is SO perfect I nearly fell off my chair. The subtle babyhair at the front is amaze, I love that it blends so easily in with his hairbases and I can't help feeling like this is another store I have left under-rated for a while, but NO MORE! Modulus, step up and collect your Man-Pickle prize! (I don't know what it is, don't really. I'm entirely unprepared!)
