I've only shown one style of the piano, but there are several different themes, which enable you to match it with practically every room conceivable to create in SL!

Here's the little gif. I'm still working out how to create video's in SL, so this is as much as I can do. The best thing to do would be to try a demo of the piano yourself. It truly is a dream!

So no sooner have we finished the previous photo challenge by Adam, another rears it's head! 

This time, we're returning to Southern Roots, and seeing as how the new round of Collabor88 is Country themed, i figured why not kill two birds with one stone, and showcase these amazing offerings from CandyDoll along with the beautiful surroundings that Kristi has created.

I love, love, love this picture. I'm well aware that I've still got a long way to go in terms of editing and such, but holy moly, I want to hug myself with pride over this haha.

The CandyDoll outfit was an absolutely perfect choice, the detailing (you can see more pictures below as usual) is absolutely stunning on the overals... cute little ruffles along the butt and legs, the curve on the bum and the naughty hitch up of the shorts from behind really do make me happy.I'm also a big fan of the ribbon effect of the straps and the boots... they've been making an appearance on facebook for almost a week and I literally could not wait to get my hands on them. 

As always, CandyDoll offers an array of colours for their outfit and their boots, and the effort that has gone into both these items is definitely reflected in the quality. I'm honored to blog for this brand, still don't quite know what I did to deserve that honor, but I am so, so grateful that I am given the privilege to work with creators of this standard who literally inspire me to improve myself right along side them.

Today, I bought you flowers.

As soon as I saw this tattoo I squee'd. Santi also prodded me to make sure I'd seen it.

I don't love many flowers, I mean, they're pretty to look at and some of them smell okay but I'm a pretty severe hayfever sufferer and if I sniff for too long I'm likely to cough, splutter and sneeze for at least an hour afterwards... but sunflowers? I can get with those bad boys.

I'm not sure what it is. Perhaps it's their cheery colour, or the fact that they really do look like little suns growing tall and proud, or maybe it's because as a kid in Primary Schools we were encouraged to grow them and the tallest won.. something I don't remember. I don't like eating the seeds, but I do like watching the lil animals scampering around shoveling them into their mouths and running away with cheeks full to popping point. And hamsters. I kinda have a love hate relationship with those furry buggers too, but they're always adorable with a pouch full of sunflower seeds.

Anyway... with such unusual colouring I wanted to make this picture pop, and I totally copied my Juni and ran around Elysion (because she'd reminded me I was in the group and I flippin' paid the fee so I'm gonna flippin' use it, k?). I believe it's been newly decorated and semi-newly opened up with rentals and it's of course, stunning and I hate that I'm a fraction as talented as the landscapers... but I digress again... 

Honestly, I have no idea where I'm going. Sometimes I start with a plan, and other times it half formulates as I'm writing. I think today I might have fallen down a rabbit hole and maybe should have written about bedazzling my vagjayjay like I suggested to Juni, but I'm not. Instead I'll tell you that I spent a small fortune trying to get the bee's & the purple headpiece from a Lode Gacha, because they matched the tattoo and whenever I think of Sunflowers I also think of bee's, and scamper off to sleep after an amazingly awesome set by Recka at Consent. Yes. That's a good plan Pickle. Go to sleep you plonker.

This picture reminds me of being 18. I wasn't naked at the time, but I was very definitely drunk.

I had decided to have a party while my parents were out of town, and well, the result was that somehow my ex boyfriend showed up. It hadn't been that long since we'd split, and seeing him sitting out in the garden on MY fucking swing kinda made me mad. I don't even remember if I'd invited him, or why I would have if he was my ex. I'm not one of those girls who generally stays friends with their exes because I firmly believe they're exes for a reason. Anyway, I digress.

I'd taken it upon myself to mix vodka and whiskey and with coke and drink it like I'm some badass. I'm totally not a badass. I'm a lightweight. Needless to say after a while I found myself in the above position in my parents hallway, with my partygoing friends stepping over me while I struggled to not hurl everywhere.

Sooner or later, my friend Keith (who was also friends with my ex) came over and sat with me. With the room spinning, and somehow through my own drunkness, being extremely aware of how very drunk he was too, he leaned over me and shook me gently. "Hey. Hey." << Keith.

"Ughsd;lf?" << Me.

"Are you okay?" Again, Keith.

"Uhgg!" I think I mumbled something like that, in the affirmative.

"I want you to go to your happy place. We've all got one. Go to your happy place." << Keith.

I'm not sure why I remember this. Or why it was so important to go to a happy place when I was quite contentedly drunk (although incapable of moving), but I was quite glad of Keith when I decided that being on my back wasn't as nice as I first thought, and had to get up the stairs to hurl. Unfortunately, at that time the toilet looked like the eye of a needle, so I just threw up in the bath. Sweet Keith held my hair back until I'd finished and then tucked me into my parents bed, and continued back downstairs to party with the rest of my friends.

I'm nothing if not a gracious host, so when at 6am I awoke, starving and thirsty, I made all my remaining friends an amazeballs English breakfast... after returning the next-door neighbours garden gnomes because they were in the freezer, the fridge, the microwave and the oven.

Sometimes, I miss being 18.

I saw a post today on SL Facebook about how someone wanted to burn all the pink.

However, as I commented there, sometimes I just want to wear and be surrounded by all the pink things.

The Breakfast Club.

Ok, so we all know this story by now, and if you don't, you really need to get on this shit and watch The Breakfast Club. I mean, it's been out for like 35 years, so you don't have any freakin' excuse and it's also on Netflix (watching it again now as I type!)

It's the quintessential 80's movie, which, if re-booted today, would still hold up in terms of story lines and characters. Perhaps those simplistic labels would be different, but the labels would still be there.

I had to think about this outfit from Miss Chelsea.

I mean, I knew it was based around the "Criminal" character, but I've never really dabbled in being that person.. and although it comes with an amazingly cute "Guilty" choker (optional), I swapped that out with the "Loner" one from Quirky purely on the basis of that is  how *I* see myself.

I feel like we can all be a little of everything - and I think this entire outfit has pushed that out of me, to the point where I didn't even realize I was encompassing almost all of the labels mentioned in that letter until now. 

Pickle the brain : I like words. I like creating images with words. Not particularly good at retaining information, and give me a maths problem and I'll immediately get out a calculator or take my socks off to be able to use my toes to count higher, but I'm not stupid (all the time).

Athlete : To be fair, the only thing you're going to catch me running for is more pizza, but I do wear trainers/sneakers a lot? :P

Basket Case : This one appeals to me! Hi! I'm Pickle, and I'm fucking crazy!

Princess : Dabbling in make-up, painting my nails, keeping up with fashion? Yes please! This is an INNER me though, in RL at least. SL allows me far more creativity to be girly and pretty sometimes, and I don't feel weird when I wear all the pink things (again, sometimes!)

Criminal : Although I've never done anything over-the top, I think we all done something we shouldn't have. Maybe something morally questionable, or uh, you know, something your parents wouldn't have liked *coughs*, yeah. That'll do.

When I was small, my family had a caravan by the beach. I use the term beach very loosely, because once again, I remind you this is England, and what was considered a beach was actually about 3 feet of stony/sandy toot with some kinda greyish water.

My Dad asked me to go fishing with him in that awful grey water one day, and I jumped at the chance. I must have been about 13, and he often took my brothers but rarely thought I would be interested. My middle brother had managed to catch an eel a couple of weeks previous, and I wanted nothing more than to prove that I could do better. "Want to bait the hook?" my Dad asked. I died a little inside and shied away from that pretty sharpish.

My Dad bent over to get a maggot from the tupperware pot he used, and what do you know, two £10 notes flew out of his pocket and started to blow down the beach. "What are you just standing there for? RUN!" << My Dad.

So there I am at 13. definitely not a track star, running down a dingy British beach, chasing after £20. I legit run the entire length of that fuckin' beach, and it was like something out of a comedy. I get close, I smack my foot over where the note should land and of course, the wind picks up and off it flies just out of reach. How did I know it was the end of the beach? There's a chain-link fence leading onto a private military area, and the two notes - instead of getting stuck on that fence like they should have - somehow slid right into that private area.

I am devastated. My fishing trip with my Dad has been ruined, and he's going to shout at me. I'm sobbing because even then I'm an emotional wreck. After walking lethargically back to the fishing spot, my cheeks stained with tears and sniveling rather pathetically my Dad stands there with his hands on his hips and says... "I didn't expect you to run THAT far!"

Luckily in SL we have pretty beaches, and fishing is usually rewarded with prizes! The only thing you're going to lose your linden to are the absolutely stunning fashion finds featured right here in this blog! :P (Totes imagined myself as a TV host there. NotSorry)

I woke up today and was all organized, which is incredibly unusual... but then stuff made me go -flop- and now my anxious brain is making me overthink, and i'm tired and headachy and blah! However, please go visit the new sim Borneo, I accidentally stumbled across it using editors choice - there's also a photo contest for a prize of 15kL's, so that's definitely worth looking into too.

Another quick note is on the Bueno Dungaree/Overalls I'm wearing. YOU NEED TO HAVE THESE. Each individual overall colour comes with a hud for the shirt. There are MANY colours and patterns for the shirt, plus a longsleeve & short sleeve option AND the ability to turn the shirt off completely so that you can wear your own choice beneath it.

I haven't spoken much about this upcoming event, because I really haven't felt like I've needed to. The organizers have been absolutely on point with every single piece of advertising they have done, and that fills my heart with happy, because it shows the passion for what they are doing.

It piqued my interest the minute I heard about it, because although I don't like to put it out there in an over-the-top fashion, I do quite enjoy the D/s dynamic. I'm not 100% sure of where I stand in this, but I think that's okay, because if you're not sure all that's left is to experiment and well, frankly, that's fun times!

The event in question is the Red Light District event, which opens it's doors tomorrow (15th March) at noon SLT. The backdrop is Amsterdam, and if you visit the sim, you'll notice that everything has been meshed custom, making the actual shopping experience one you are not going to want to miss. 

On top of the fabulous, one of a kind, sim design, there are a bunch of top-notch creators involved. So far, and in terms of behind-the-scenes organization I honestly feel like there hasn't been a stone left un-turned, and though I thoroughly enjoy all the events I am lucky enough to be a part of, this one stands out in terms of scheduling alone, and for that I am incredibly thankful, because I am after all an over-anxious little bunny.

ANYWAYYY. The picture here shows a lot more than I'm used to showing, so be prepared to view a bit of foof and nipnop on a much more regular basis for at least the next four rounds of Red Light District! 

Usually, I'd leave the postie here and just move along to the items I'm wearing, but I really, really feel it necessary to give a well deserved shout out to KatyaSessions of <K&S> poses, who went above and beyond in customer service terms with a little issue I've been experiencing with poses lately. I'm 100% certain the issue is completely mine, and while we were unable to come to a conclusion as to what would fix it, the help & support she provided me with was legitimately amazing, and I cannot be more thankful for her patience and graciousness.
