I'm boy-Pickle today. I'm not sure if you're aware, but Muggleborn adds the option of 'pouches' to most of their clothing so that it can be worn realistically by femboys and ladies with penises. I'm all for diversity in SL, so this makes my heart very happy.

Please welcome Kat to Kaleidoscope today! I've known her for a little while, and she's managed to cling on all the while I was ill and weird af, and now, finally, we have a cute picture of us! Yaay!
We're kind of similar in the way that we don't mind changing our avatars up. Today you'll see we're both wearing the flat-chest v-tech mod. I've featured this a couple of times, but it really is wonderful in my opinion, and now that CandyDoll has begun rigging for the chest, along with the little boobies for the slink body, I figured it was only right to feature the boi's again!
I might even give the petite tata's a shot at some point, because; challenges!
Most of you will know I'm an avid overthinker. I'm never sure if I'm TOO effeminate with the femboy chest, but I figure there are many many different styles, and so for this particular postie, I went with girly boy, rather than boyish boy. Maybe i'll perfect the boyish boy too!

I realize that this might be a slightly unusual turn on Man-Pickle Monday, but honestly, I'm not sure how much I care today! SL is a place for expression. It's a place people come to be something they're not, or everything they are. Something they can't be, but something they feel they should be. For me, it's an outlet where I can experiment with creativity - sometimes within the perimeters of an avatar, and other times with decor and pictures.
I love that there are creators within our community that will push the boundaries of 'normal' expectations and make items for all types of people regardless of labels.
Also, can I just swoon over how much fun i'm having with the Red Light District event? If anyone has followed me from the start of my blog will be aware, I have steered quite far away from anything remotely risque, but this has pushed me and thrown me out of my comfort zone a little, making me re-think the way items are portrayed. and allowed me to get a little kinky and different - which I absolutely adore. Here's to pushing the boundaries further in the future!

I tried something a little different with this post, and went for a full-on girly Fem-boy look. It's something I've been considering doing for a little while, as I was lucky enough to meet the creator of the V-tech boy chest through a friend a while ago, and he was super sweet! Not to mention absolutely freaking adorable to look at. Pair that with the fabulous items he makes for the chest (with added 'regular' maitreya rigs, too) and the current round of RLD having another creator involved with items for the *boy* bodies (and men, and futa's and.. well, people with penises who aren't necessarily male.. ugh. Labels), I figured now was the perfect time.
I've done femboy before on my alt, but this is BY FAR my favourite look for it, so far. Finding a skin can be fairly tricky, so when I stumbled across the Lumae skin at Ostara's Altar and it included a v-tech applier, I knew now was the right time.
I know I've said this at least two times lately, but every time I have meant it. This Lumae skin is beautiful. I don't think I appreciated it fully until I came to edit this image, because it was then that I noticed small details like the creases along the palm of the hands, the shading across the fingers by the fingernails, the tiny, teeny little cleft between the nose and the mouth, the way the eyelids are shaded so intricately and fit perfectly against the shape of my catwa head... I cannot imagine the amount of love that has gone into making this skin, and one day I hope I have the time and the spoons to be able to do a full review. When you add to that the price of the skin for the special version available at the Ostara's Altar event, this is a genuine gem. I think it was between 500/600L for the head and ALL the the appliers you can shake a stick at! This is a MUST demo!

This is a post I've had in my head for a while, and I actually tried super hard for about 6 hours one day to make this happen, but that day my face just wasn't having it. Today, I'm surprised because this came about with ease. Sometimes it's just like that and you need to pack up and try again later.
I'm showcasing a lot more items from Fantasy Gacha Carnival, and this amazeballs tattoo is from this round of Bodyfy. Both of these events have been longstanding sponsors for my blog and I'm super proud to have them on my list.
Making this about me (because this is my blog and I can), I try to apply for stores and events that I know I will have a genuine love for. I don't apply willy-nilly to every store that pops up on my feed looking for bloggers and every time I get accepted I really see it as an honor, and I strive to showcase any product I am given honestly and in their best light - that being said, if I truly disliked any product, it would not be featured on my blog. I'm aware I'm a very lucky girl to have such wonderful store owners supporting me so that I can support them with my silly little photographs. I just hope that you, dear reader, can see the quality of the products on show, too.
However, being a "blogger" regardless of your "sponsors" or the length of time you've been doing it, is definitely a labor of love. You can't jump into blogging and expect to be given things immediately. You can't start a blog and then have ALL of your clothing, skin, hair, shape, backgrounds & accessories provided for you through the kind donations of sponsors, you actually have to purchase items. Add to that when you do manage to gain a few sponsors the fact that you will need to showcase their items, it can be quite pricey - and that's sort of where i'm leaving this. I believe the expectation is that as a blogger you get a bunch of awesome stuff for free and then you're set for SL Life because yanno, you're a bigshot! But there are SO many bloggers, so much competition and such a high expectation now, it is becoming harder and harder to stay focused, relevant and on trend.
I hope you find some pleasure in my work, because I do. Rest assured if that feeling of joy ever dissipates, I will move on, but for now and for the forseeable future this blog is going to remain a big part of who Pickle is.
