I had a conversation with someone recently that made me think again about who I want to be and where I want to go, and although I feel like without a doubt there have been some positive changes, I do feel like I need to address something that has niggled me for the longest time.

Life isn't fair.

I get that certain people are capable of "playing the game", and therefore they'll be the ones who seemingly succeed, which kinda makes their lives enviable to some... but I can't ever be that person again, if I ever was. The only way I have ever been able to achieve anything is to work my ass off, and as my friend mentioned to me in our conversation, I've worn many hats, especially within SL and whenever I felt like I was heading in a direction that didn't suit me, I think I may have intentionally shot myself in the butt to prevent it from happening. Still, in terms of blogging and photography, no matter how hard I try, how much I think I have improved, my not playing the game hurts me in terms of exposure.

Now, this may seem like I'm sitting here whining that I'm incredibly unpopular, but I'm not. I'm just using this platform as an example of what is changing for me, and how I'm viewing things... and in terms of blogging and many, many other things in my life that I'm not 'there' yet with, I fucking LOVE doing it. Because I love doing this, I will continue to do this. I will not circle jerk and I will stay the eff away from drama surrounding any activity I enjoy. I'm more than happy to work at my own pace now and although that jealousy monster might occasionally rear it's ugly head, it's power is fading daily, and I feel as though each "Congratulations" I pass on to someone else is more genuine than the last.

If others decide to play games, I'll no doubt see it, but it's not my life... it's theirs, and they have every right to live the way they see fit.

If you love what I do, that's a bonus... but I want to hold my head high and walk with integrity.

So, yeah, life isn't fair, but it does give us a chance to show our worth and I'm finally figuring out what mine is. I'm priceless. And so are you.

Finally I have a little respite from feeling gross! I'm well aware it's a work in progress right now, but I have brand new medication for the anxiety that causes my stomach issues and currently it seems to be doing what it's meant to, so let's keep our fingers crossed because the last couple of months have been horrific!

I have SO many ideas for blog posts right now and it seems like there aren't enough hours in the day, so please bear with me while I get back on track. I want to shout out again to RLD (Red Light District) which opened on the 15th, even though nothing is featured from there in this post, and also to the Secret Affair that is still ongoing - please make sure you check out those two events. I'm also well aware that Man-Pickle has been suspiciously missing this week, so be prepared for him to make a surprise visit at some point soon!

The beginnings of my RL changes are going to start this week, and while I am excited, I am also incredibly nervous, but it's a good nervous! This might mean I'm going to miss a couple of days here and there, or maybe - maybe, I'll manage double whammies some days. Who knows?

Anywho, I hope you enjoy Pickle trying to be bashful about the fact that she's just thrown 12 cupcakes into her bag as she faux-innocently offers you a wave before grabbing a fresh mug of hot-chocolate and runs off to explore the beautiful Luane's world sim!

She wanna get married.

Once again I'm left squeeing with happy over Moss&Mink's newest gacha, available at the arcade.

This set has so many gorgeous bits and pieces that I just couldn't fit them all in to the one post and do them all justice! All of the cakes and pretties have materials enabled too, so if you activate your advanced lighting, you'll be able to see the in an entirely different way!

I always feel like I struggle to make pastel colours pop, and today was no exception. I actually started this post yesterday, but something just wasn't working. There are actually multiple versions of this picture sitting and glaring at me, because I didn't choose them! However, I was unperturbed (ok, not entirely, I did whine to Santi a little bit.) and continued until I had chosen this picture! Anywho, the reason I tell you of my struggle with pastels is not because I hate pastels. I LOVE pastels. I want to make the pretty kawaii posties that other bloggers pull off so well, and sometimes, I know I hit it. I guess it's like everything, practice makes perfect. However, the reason I'm rambling is because once again I feel like I have not done the Moss&Mink items justice. You REALLY need to see these items in-world, with your own two eyeballs (there's a demo out >HERE<). The details are always amazing and this time it's no exception. I can't tell you how much I want to eat all the things, I just know they will taste as good as they look, and the tiny (intentional) imperfections in the macaroons just make me want to pull them apart and lick out the middle like a naughty 6 year old at a fancy party. You might even find me sitting under the table in my party dress while I do it, too!

I've taken a photo of just the cakes, but like I said, there are many pieces to this set, and all of them are crafted beautifully. Stay tuned for tomorrows post, when there'll be even more shots of this set, and the amazing secondary set at The Arcade, too!

So if you're not aware there's a "Rewind" event going on at the moment, and the theme is Y2K.

Initially, I was sorta kinda wary about this for no other reason than sometimes it's really difficult to keep the theme relevant in a blog post, and I really, really like to try and make my pictures tell a story that is relevant. I'm kinda anally retentive like that. *nod nods*

This Outfit from Miss Chelsea made my heart fill with happy. As always, the quality is outstanding. I absolutely LOVE the capri-style pants, all the pockets, the wrinkly elasticated bottoms, everything screams to me as something that late-teen RL Pickle would wear. Also, the necktie, SO spot on for the Y2K theme, and as soon as I'd paired it with the Beusy hair, and Semller Socks & Shoes, I was screaming "OMG I'M A SKATER GIRL" and it all finally came together.

I was never very good at skate-boarding. My brothers had a couple of those tiny little mini-skateboard things (i'm sure they have a name, but no idea what they are), and I remember falling off it for weeks and finally giving up and watching them do some simple tricks, moping.

This definitely gave me Avril Lavigne vibes, and I know the song is a little later than Y2K, but not so much you'll hate me for it, I hope. Poor Santi has been listening to me sing "Skater Boi" for about three hours now, so I hope it gets stuck in your heads too! :P

It's not over.

So I'm not gonna lie, I had a whole lot more planned for the above photograph. I originally green-screened the thing, but somewhere along my process I was smart enough to make the background white, despite cutting the green out, and by the time I'd figured out I'd royally effed up it was too late. I tried to do the whole "Let's cut around this picture" thing, but honestly, i'm not mad at how this came out, so you're just gonna be kinda stuck with your bog-standard blank background postie, and rest assured that I am still trying to learn allthenewthings and do sometimes make mistakes (shh! If anyone I know finds out I said that my reputation as a hard-ass, no-nonsense perfectionist will be ruined!).

There's a bunch of cool stuff shown in this pic today, and I want to start with the Saga jewelry set. I applied to blog for this brand thinking there was absolutely no way in heck that I'd be accepted, and honestly, I am stunned and overwhelmed with the fact that I was chosen to represent them. The quality is amazing, and trust me, because I'm picky af. Not only are there amazingly intricate mesh designs, but there's also some fabulous hud colours, of both the metals and the butterfly-wings on the earrings. I can't do these justice, but I can and will shout to the high heavens about the value you are getting when you purchase these items. Seriously. The heart-hands are appropriate!

I fell in love with this set of eyes from Lotus. I blogged them yesterday, and as usual, I'm left wondering if I'll ever want to take them out of my head (Things you can only say in reference to SL, huh?), this colour specifically was perfect for me, and the toning... uggghh, again, heart hands! There are plenty to chose from, and they're available in gacha form, so they're perfect for gifting or exchanging.

The cute little knotted tee is by Miss Chelsea. It's a free group gift and comes with a 4 colour hud. Did you see what I wrote? FREE. GROUP. GIFT. Run!! Grab it, pick it up! Miss Chelsea can barely do wrong in my eyes, their mesh has always been high quality & their textures are sublime, so grab the group, grab the freebies (there's more than just this shirt on the counter!!) and make sure you stay updated so that you can be as addicted as I am!

A lot of the time, dressing casually causes me great pains, but this outfit came together surprisingly easily once I'd added the Foxy hair. Part of me always wants to fatpack Foxy, because they're another brand that I absolutely adore, and are completely on my blogger bucket list. I have watched them expand from adorable little accessories which were always must have pieces, to the mega-hair-brand they now are, and it's been wonderful to watch the progress & the following the brand has garnered.
